    Sorry Double-Oh I didnt know you PM'ed him. even with out the pics I was surprised it was on here for that amount of time with out someone saying I'll take it. Its a used S-308 but considering what a new one is going for now $300 was a steal I was not worried how it looked I only wanted the pics to make sure it wasn't shaped like a "U" LOL.

     

     

    By the way jtoddellis I got the MO in the mail today.

     

    No apologies necessary. Honestly, for $300 I wouldn't have been worried about how it looked either ha ha.

    I will take it for sure!!!!!!!! Sorry guys I am sure a few of you are going "Damn if I was only on there 5 mins earlier I would have it" that is what usually happen to me I got lucky this time. I will PM you with all the info in a little while I have got to go get the grass cut I don't want to be doing it in the dark.

     

    Actually I had you beat by 3 hours although technically I didn't post on this thread that I sent a PM and was asking for pictures before I would come to a decision, which went unanswered.

    I apoligize to you Double-oh. I haven't been on the forum in a few years before I posted this item, and for some reason the replies no longer send notification to my e-mail. I know excuses are worthless, but anyway I've got a few, lol

     

    Thanks to everyone on this forum, I knew someone here would want the rifle. The money is going toward the adoption of our new 3 month old baby boy. It's not much, but once the transaction is done I will make a small donation to the forum.

     

    No worries, bro. Like I said I didn't post on the thread that I'd take it and was asking for pictures.

    Heck the locals here kill each other over video games.

    I can't imagine what it would be like if they actually miss a meal or two.

     

     

    From my experience, gamers hardly notice missed meals. Always one more level they gotta run through.

     

    Funny story: Back in high school a buddy of mine got hungry while playing whatever online game was in style at the time and, without realizing it, made his character eat instead of getting something real for himself.

    Good luck lugging around your massive supply of ammo and resupplying off other people Rambo style. In a true SHTF, ammo won't be on the shelves anymore, no matter how available it is.

     

    I'll stick with 22LR as my SHTF round. No hospitals means every wound can be fatal, especially a round to the chest. The last thing anyone wants is to be shot.

     

    I agree. In a world where bullets might matter you can't be picky. Regardless of caliber, being hit by a bullet will do damage. Regardless of caliber, you will go for cover when shot at. And I'm pretty sure an innocent bystander wound kills regardless of caliber.

     

    But while ammo is still plentiful, as far as handguns go, I'll avoid 45acp. Too popular imo.

    Nobody should have to be reminded that they need to eat or take care of their family, that's just offensive.

     

     

     

    I beg to differ. You underestimate the stupidity of today's society. One particular fella here recently even suggested stocking piling ammo because with guns you can take whatever you like. :ded:

    Sure, you can take whatever you want if you have a gun...but you better damn well hope you're the only one packing. Wicked bad juju comes to those, and their loved ones, with that sort of behavior/mentality.

    IMO if shtf tomorrow all ammo is going to be rare. People are going to stampede and pick the stores clean. Ammo and food. Of course that's worst case scenario among other things.

     

     

    I'm assuming this topic was started on the basis that food and water are in good supply? Nobody should have to be reminded that they need to eat or take care of their family, that's just offensive.

  23. Gas System Overhaul?

    I've seen several S12 YouTube videos by PFIdude mentioning a gas system overhaul. After a google search on the subject and checking the PFI site, there's nothing that I've noticed that mentions is actually done for the overhaul other than it improves gas efficiency. What is actually done to the saiga for an overhaul (aside from sending it out to someone who can do it)?
