  1. This just in: I just spoke with Michael from Lone Star Arms and ordered my gun and some mags! Now I need to get plenty of cheap ammo to shoot! Any suggestions for cheap stuff to kill clays with?
  2. That it does! I'm really just kiddin, but I believe that my LSA gun was one of the very first to have the combination of: Monster Brake perm attached for an overall length just over 18", H&K irons, the Tromix pic rail, and the jeweled bolt carrier. I guess people liked the look, (functions pretty f'in well too).
  3. I just checked out the gallery. Who's copying who?
  4. Careful with the car analogies that will get me goin'! I'm a car guy who tracks my pretty modded car and speaking of car analogies is speaking my langage. I fully know that I'm going to make a call for what I'm looking for and I'm more leaning towards the LSA due to the type of feedback I'm getting. Am I correct in understanding that the R&R gun would NOT be good for hunting? Is that due to reduced velocity? Datrowl made it sound like it would only cycle light loads well. Perhaps I misinterpreted that post. As long as we're doing car analogies and all here is the car I'
  5. Thanks for all the feedback thus far! I've neither got the time or patience to do the conversion myself- rock on for those of you that can and do! I'd consider the SBS option and have, but the builders I've spoken with have said they will kick more and not cycle light loads as well... so that's a no go for me. I've put some thought into the reduced fps that the R&R gun would lead to and don't have enough hard numbers or data to make an informed call on how much that concerns me. If anyone has had the opportunity to shoot both types of guns I'd love to hear how they compare. K
  6. Howdy all! Ok so here's the question I have: I'm trying to decide between a heavily customized gun from Lone Star Arms (LSA) or a Open Package version of the R and R Targets gun (R&R). My goal for my gun is to have a gun that will very reliably shoot the cheap stuff, get back on target for fast and accurate follow up shots and will give less recoil. I've spoken with the owners of both of these companies on the phone and email and have had nothing but outstanding response and customer service from them both. If that wasn't the case the decision would be easy. Here are the c
