Finally got mine done. Picked it up yesterday. Barrel chopped to 14.5 and an AAC qd mount permanently attached with Magpul Zhukov stock.

Let me clarify, I'm not on the Trump bandwagon. I often don't agree with him, but his take no shit attitude is appealing when faced with a hyper-reactive, overly PC world.

Most of my ARs are black, but I do have one in FDE that's 300 blackout including mags to try and avoid putting 5.56 in my 300 blk or the other way around.

One more reason to have lots of ammo to train someone and get them up to speed. Maybe start with a suppressed 10/22. If you have time teach them to use irons, if not, put a red dot on there. Super quiet, and you can practice in the back yard without alerting the zombies.
But I'd say after that a long gun with a red dot site. Prob an AR with an aimpoint, sbr, light weight. Depending on the person the weight of an AK might be too much to carry for long periods.

Cool. Once you got it, did your life magically become better, and did sunshine and unicorns follow you around? Did you look at it and say "you complete me" like I'm hoping will happen to me if I get one?

I had the same discussion in my head about 2 years ago. Ended up with the 22/45 and been very happy. Eats what I feed it. I don't have any issues with the trigger, and runs well with a can.

I've come to the conclusion that I need glasses too. Last time I renewed my license at the DMV they told me next time I renew in person I need to be wearing glasses. That was 8 years ago, the last time I had to renew in person. Getting old sucks.

So I e-filed a form 1 for my pap. While I'm waiting, can I purchase a stock and folding mechanism? I know I can't attach it and won't start drilling holes until I get my stamp, but can I have the stock in the same place as the gun in it's current pistol form?
I've seen a lot of AR posts about this but not about AKs, and my apologies if this has been beat to death.
I am about to file mine for my M92. What are you putting on that thing?
