looking forward to seeing the movie. Not to be a dick but I had a hard time getting drawn into the book. I respect the hell out of Kyle (that's why I read his book) but I don't think they guy writing it with him did him any favors. The book seemed to be a series of stories that sort of hung together but lacked something. So this may be one of those rare times when the movie is better than the book. Like I said, I have a lot of respect for the guy, and I get that he didn't write it to entertain me, but I think his ghost writer could have done a better job guiding the effort. Hopefully Clint got it right.

sounds a bit extreme. But I do load my ar mags to 28 typically. Though I'll be the first to say, I'm far from expert. Much closer to wanna be.

The question is really "should I build 3 more AR's?" because they're like potato chips, you can't just eat (make) one. Once you start you'll never be satisfied. I've built 6 and trying to figure out what my next build will be.

Got the call on Monday that my stamp was in. Picked it up yesterday. Need to add a 1 point sling attachment and change the pistol grip, but so far very happy. Can't wait to take it out to the range.

OK, I'm going to take a less popular stance on this, but please allow me to explain. I think what the CIA/Homeland Security and all the alphabets are doing needs to be out in the open in terms of treatment of detainees.First, let me be clear, I couldn't give a shit what happens to talaban fighters.
But with the expanded powers of our government, and current leadership in charge, is it too much of a leap to think that someone writing on a gun board, whose rant is deemed a little too extreme gets a knock on their door at 2:30 in the morning, gets a bag over their head and ends up on a plane to an eastern European country for an unwanted vacation? That's what concerns me about all this.

I'm glad he put that on paper. We know that's what some people are thinking, now it's out there for all to see. So when people say "no one wants to take your guns, we just want better regulation," an argument that we've know is flawed, we now have the smoking gun (pardon the pun) to call BS.

I'm mixed on this one. If I was back in 7th grade and a cop came in with an AR 15, I would have been like "oh shit, that's badass," NOT "oh shit, I'm gonna die!" I think the media have made our culture so sensitive to guns that they freak people out just to see them. So, yeah the cops probably could have prepared the students better, but I think we've gone a bit overboard on gun sensitivity.

if the technology was right I'd buy it. I'm not advocating that guns be replaced with "smart guns" but I'm all for giving consumers options.

I posted this 5 days ago and it's still true. No one else has died in the US. I don't doubt that we're in for a shit storm at some point in the future, but it's name isn't Ebola.

Ok so a judge has quelled the fear. Here is a question we have been throwig around at work.

The judge ruled that she still needs to take her temp 2 times a day. If she stopped taking her own temp or hid a high temp then I could see criminal negligence. Otherwise, I don't see how she could be criminally liable. However, at this point she's tested negative for the virus and is not showing symptoms, and is therefore not contagious.

Glad it wasn't worse and they saw the light. Anyone else wonder what the dog was up to when all this was going on? Maybe time to get a bigger dog too.

With the wasp spray, if they don't get medical attention VERY quick, they will go blind for life, which, Hey, I don't have a problem with, the bear spray, I've never tried, and don't want to, but if it comes down to them or me, I'd spray anything I had in their eyes, or on them to stop them.
I hate to say it, but the way things are now I could see an attacker sue if he got sprayed with wasp spray and went blind. What's even scarier is that he might actually win.
What's wrong with pepper spray?

I became a member after I took Trek's class. Hardly anyone ever there when I go. But I have a flexible schedule and can go in the middle of the week. It's really nice to be the only guy on the range or at least the only guy in a particular shooting bay.
