  6. SGM tactical Bolt on .308 muzzle brake question

    I just installed my SGM bolt on break and had to do some filing on the forward sight to get it to fit but there is still a 1/8 gap between the front of the sight and the brake, is this normal or should the brake be sitting flush against the sight? Think i might have to do some more filling but cant tell exactly were and dont want to be removing unnecessary material...

  8. Can 5.56 be used in a Saiga .223

    Ok so ive heard the Saiga .223 is actually a 5.56 rifle stamped as a .223 for import reasons and has no problem with 5.56 ammo, so i checked out the RAAC website and the .223 is listed as a 5.56 x 45 caliber rifle... i know .223 CAN be used in a 5.56 rifle but 5.56 SHOULD NOT be used in a .223 rifle

    So my question is has anybody used 5.56 in there S.223?what.gif

    I'm with Shannon on this one... I like the "traditional" AK look... Brian did a fantastic job on mine..

     

    The new CNC gas block is sexy as hell...

    Then he did this and the classic looks started to appeal. Quite a few people do the "S" and "F" in white and red, and all the lettering in white. It is a nice touch for final fit and finish. (and it should match all the H&K sights people have)

     

    What did u use? Ive heard there is other options besides lacquer stick...

    The TWS rail was my original plan but i still wanted to be able to utilize irons in a scope failure situation and from what it looks like the Midwest Industries side mount sits centered and directly on top of the dust cover just like the rail on the TWS dust cover plus its a little more affordable, ive already dumped too much money into this rifle....lol

    I just picked up a Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x40 for my Saiga308 on a impulse and should have done a little more research before i made my purchase, with that said i got a couple questions.

     

    1. Is 3-9 sufficient magnification for a Saiga308? [intend on shooting at greatest accurate distance possible with my Saiga]

     

    2. Seen UTG scopes and rings for much cheaper, how would they compare to the elite 4200 and other rings?

     

    3. Molot Vepr Mount or Midwest Industries Side mount and why?

    BUSHNELLS ELITE 4200 3-9X40 OR UTG 3-12X40 RUBBER ARMORED ILLUMINATED

    Which scope rings and side mount would u recommend [uTG?] I want to be able to still utilize irons in case of scope failure, please be specific on reasons for recommendations... Im mounting on S308

     

    Ive heard alot of different opinions on quality of UTG parts and would like to get some useful feedback

    You definitely saved that dogs life, and your definitely good people most wouldnt even have gave that situation a second glance let alone stop to do something about it but u did take some risks, i wouldnt have any regrets about your actions especially considering the shock from what u had just experienced, you did the right thing and saved the dog and possibly even the lives of other people who could have struck the dog or swerved to avoid it ..... and that asshole will get whats coming to him one day032.gif

    Instead of running away from the problem and leaving there stomping grounds like everybody who isnt from cali likes to suggest, like thats some kind of solution, hopefully there attempting to do something about this bullshit instead of being forced to leave there own state because of ignorance!

    Man this has got to be the deadest topic in this forum WTF were are all the proud Cali gun owners... hopefully busy fighting to prevent any more of there rights from being taken away by anti gun ignorance and idiots like gov. brown and the brady campaign whos mission is to create un-armed victims and make the job alot easier for criminals who arent abiding by the laws anyway and continue to arm themselves and victimize the unarmed idiots that support this kind of crap....016.gifDont get me started!

    I know its difficult for some to pay attention when dealing with there own every day issues

    No one has been able to explain to me why young men... and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.

     

    On Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop?

     

    35 States file lawsuit against the Federal Government

     

    Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

    This is an idea that we should address.

     

    For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

     

    If each person that receives this will post it on their wall, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message.. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

     

    Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .."

     

    Now, what are you going to do about it? Read and delete, or work for reform? Share on the wall of EVERY congressman, representative, governor, the white house!!!!! Pass it around!!! Make calls, send fax's and email's...............
