  1. Anybody know of any good cali gunsmiths besides Entreprise Arms?

Also can anybody recommend any good ranges or places to shoot in Los Angeles, San Bernardino or Riverside countys?

  2. Thought i would start this topic for all the Cali gun owners...

If it has to do with guns or gun laws in Cali this is the place to post it...

[rants, raves, questions, concerns, comments and opinions feel free to vent]

  3. I want to run my .308 with scope and irons, Ive seen alot of different ways to do this and need to know witch would be the best? [side mount, dust cover mount, angled scope mount, gas tube rail, hk sights, ar style flip up sights, stock irons, and the list goes on]:blink:So many options and so many suppliers any input on set up and best products for the job would be greatly appreciated...

  4. Started this topic cuz i noticed allot of people had allot of good things to say about CSS and Gregs service so feel free to leave your input.

I ordered all my conversion parts for my .308 from CSS [definitely the one stop shop], my order arrived almost immediately it seemed and CSS was extremely helpful with any questions i had [The guy has immaculate costumer service], And the same goes for Jack at JT he actually did my conversion and was patient with all the newb questions and was willing to help any way possible, he even ordered the correct bullet button for me after i sent him the incorrect one.

I would highly recommend CSS and JT engineering for any of your saiga needs,,,Thanks for all your help guys

  6. Who is your smith?

I've gotten some local pricing in AZ for installing a muzzle brake. $175 which includes setting the FSB back, threading to 14x1 and crowning the muzzle. I didnt ask if that includes the brake but my guess is that it doesnt.

There are much better options avail for muzzle devices utilizing this thread pattern (14x1).

When I bought my .308 Saiga about 3 years ago, I got it at a local show. & immediately walked a few rows to my smith & handed it to him to be restored to look like the AK it was designed to be. His fee was $140, which included the FSE FCG, US pistol grip, & all the necessary labor. I had a Romy side folder which he installed as well. I had an AK74 comp which was threaded 14x1 which I gave to him too. I asked him to push the front site back 'till it rested against the gas block. Also shorten & crown the barrel so the AK74 comp rests against the front site. Since the barrel would be too short, the AK74 comp was permanently pinned to the barrel. For all the barrel work he charged me $60. So in my mind, $175 sounds way too high. Has labor increased that much in a few years? GARY N4KVE

  7. Thanks for the info Gonzo extremely helpful straight from the Ca doj....

As for you mivet Watch your mouth, fuck ignorant cali laws and ignorant Californians who dont stand up for there rights and allow there state to control so much ,but dont slap a label on us all, i intend on making a change and doing what i can to fight for the cause instead of just running away from the problem and leaving my stomping grounds, and i know alot of like minded Californians that feel the same way....especially in my circle

California born and raised, And proud of it!

Bayonets are perfectly legal in CA. Just not the spike bayos. If you ever have any Q's about assault weapon characteristics in California, go to this page:

  8. SICK RIFLE NICE SET-UP LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE MINE, GOOD TASTE...LOL...EXCEPT I OPTED FOR THE MAGPUL ACS INSTEAD OF THE UBR...TOO DAM EXPENSIVE FOR THE UBR ALTHOUGH IT WAS MY ORIGINAL PLAN.....CANT DENY THAT UBR IS BAD ASS THO, AND THE ACE ADAPTER IS THE BEST IN MY OPINION [EVEN BETTER THAN WELD ON PLATE] PLUS IT ALINES THE STOCK WITH BARREL, I CANT STAND WHEN THE STOCK SLOPES DOWN THAT LOOKS LIKE SHIT AND IT DEFINITELY ISNT GOOD FOR FUNCTIONALITY... GOTTA LOVE CSS

My newly 3/4 finished Saiga .308 (My other woman)

All she needs now is a muzzle brake. Haven't had the time or narrowed down the right brake.

Also, the method of attachment for the Carolina Shooters Supply Tri-Rail as well as a Uinta 20 round magazine.

The rear portion is a Magpul UBR stock as well as an ACE internal adapter and AR stock adapter.

Happy with ALL products as well as companies that supplied the products used.
