BTW I'm posting from my phone and couldn't seem to find the search function so sorry if this question has been asked before

Got my first conversion done over the weekend,everything went smooth thanks in huge part to the information found on this site.but there's just one little thing,I got everything in and fitted and started cleaning up the mess and found the keeper sleeve for the g2 fcg that I overlooked when putting everything in,is this required for proper function or is it merely to make getting the trigger and disconnecter easier to line up with that spring in there before putting the axis pin in?
