  1. That is what I like about Tennessee. No matter the gun law you break if you break it in defense of yourself or others any charges for breaking the law is dropped. You can have a gun illegally on your person and if you use that gun to save a life you cannot be charged with anything related to the gun. Also in Tennessee if you shoot someone and it is determined to be justified you are excempt from any civil proceedings against you.

    39-17-1322. Defenses.

A person shall not be charged with or convicted of a violation under this part if the person possessed, displayed or employed a handgun in justifiable self-defense or in justifiable defense of another during the commission of a crime in which that person or the other person defended was a victim.

Section 39-17 deals with weapons offenses.

    And the defense statute

39-11-622. Justification for use of force -- Exceptions -- Immunity from civil liability.

    (a) (1) A person who uses force as permitted in §§ 39-11-611 -- 39-11-614 or § 29-34-201, is justified in using such force and is immune from civil liability for the use of such force, unless:

    (A) The person against whom force was used is a law enforcement officer, as defined in § 39-11-106 who:

    (i) Was acting in the performance of the officer's official duties; and

(ii) Identified the officer in accordance with any applicable law; or

(iii) The person using force knew or reasonably should have known that the person was a law enforcement officer; or

(B ) The force used by the person resulted in property damage to or the death or injury of an innocent bystander or other person against whom the force used was not justified.

(b ) The court shall award reasonable attorney's fees, court costs, compensation for loss of income, and all expenses incurred by a person in defense of any civil action brought against the person based upon the person's use of force, if the court finds that the defendant was justified in using such force pursuant to §§ 39-11-611 -- 39-11-614 or § 29-34-201.
  2. Oh shit, you got a bad one. Sell it

If I were the OP I would not assume the liability of selling a firearm that I knew was malfunctioning. OP, you can send it to me and for a nominal fee I will assume all liability for the defective weapon.

OP, the two problems you describe are not problems at all. It is completely normal.

  3. I have used small rifle for 9mm and didn't have any issues with a Glock. A friend's SR9 couldn't light them off reliably. I have a 24/7 as well and it ignited the CCI 400's just fine but I have yet to try my Wolf rifle primers with the Taurus.

If you want I can try some Wolf Small Rifle in my Taurus to see if they ignite.

A 1911 will ignite Wolf Small Rifle Magnum reliably for me. I have yet to find any primer a 1911 won't ignite. I find or buy small primer 45 ACP every chance I get for this reason. I can use the same primers for most every gun I own.

  4. It is very easy to do yourself with pretty basic tools. A drill, pliers, hammer and punch are pretty much all you would need. The assembly is pretty simple, if it doesn't fit then it doesn't belong there. Some of the assembly can be a little frustrating but it is not hard at all. The first one I did in a little over an hour and a half. The most recent one I did in probably 30-40 minutes, not including the paint drying. It takes me less than 10 minutes to go from a basic gun to ready to assemble then another 20-30 minutes to assemble.

  5. I have used a single point but now I use a two point. One attachement at the rear and one towards the front. When you transition the guns sucks up close to your body and does not bounce around when moving.

Single points tend to swing and bounce around and the bungee versions make that so much worse.

  6. The deal with the little detents is this. Once they are under spring pressure and are released they attain such speed as they can escape our reality. Then they land in some alternate universe to be found by someone else. This also explains why we sometimes find small things in our reality that we swear we have never had. It is because a person in another reality had something of theirs exceed their reality's escape velocity.

This is similar to what happens to socks except with socks it is the round and round motion of the dryer that opens a wormhole only big enough for socks to fit through. No clue where they go though, maybe to those flea market sock vendors.

  7. I have a bunch of USGI 1911 mags, none of them failed to function in my 1911.

    +1

I screw base plates on them and then when they start malfunctioning I remove the paltes and toss them. You can find them at the shows around here for $10 still in the wrapper.
