  1. Welcome, and congrats on the buy.

    ditto.

Also Try your gun out before you read all the Fixit threads. Most people don't have any problems. Find out if your gun does everything you want it to do. If it isn't broke... you shouldn't be either.

I don't want you buying parts or services to solve problems unless you actually have to. I've seen way too many people who wisely read the forum before buying like you, and then buy a bunch of parts they read about before they even try out their guns. Get yourself a couple of federal bulk packs at walmart for $40, and run them on setting #2. If they work fine you should be happy.

I am new here as well, I did just what GunFun said to do.

Did not work smooth for the first 60 to 70 rounds, the she came to me and it has been easy from then on.

Shoot the hell out of it and have fun.

  2. My $0.02, I keep my Glock mags at half full with pinking ammo.

When I get worred about needing to use for HD I load it fully with JHP.( yea I dont know before hand when I will need it, I just like loading ammo into my mags)

Now on my long guns, they are under lock and key, mags with them.

I don't store ammo in my safe, in a fire the guns will make it, with ammo in the safe, to hot, bad move.

I do load my mads to the top every few days (7 to 10) just cause I have heard both stored

full and empty and cycled is bad on them.

A spring will cycle at rest from temp change, now before yall start, I know it wont move much, but it does move.

    Less stress empty.

  3. Hi yall, name is Jeff.

I started looking for an auto-loader about 3 months back.

Learned about Saiga off the net.

Found a little gun shop close to home, picked up a 308.

Put on a stock, picked up a few mags and I was hooked.

Just got a S12 today, put in the Tapco gas puck.

Ran 70 to 80 rounds low brass wally world ammo.

Yea it only took that much to break in.

Finished up with another 100 rounds, did this with the OEM 5 round mag.
