  1. My Saiga 12 used to be a sporting configuration shotgun. I converted it into AK style with aluminium quad rail. I have carried M1a while hunting for a buck, it is difficult to carry with brasses but I would blame mostly to M1a for stick with a ton of weight on my back. Magazines are easier to carry on vest or belt. I am wondering if anyone have ever manufactured with lightweight material for receiver/barrel. Do you know anyone who could customize receivers and barrels separately?
  2. I own a standard Saiga 12. I like the simple design of AK especially with simple box "main" body and flat feed port unlike AR. I also like the simple trigger group is made. I have considered buying AR because of the lightweight but I don't like the limitations. With AK, I could make almost anything with my tools in garage. Is there Saiga 12 that is light or lighter than AR? Where do I get it? Do they sell in kit or parts? I am mostly interested in buying lightweight main body and barrel separately for interchangeability. I have some favorite accessories on shelf waiting to be put to
