  1. I finally got to shoot the new vepr today. Surprising little recoil, although I do shoot mosin nagants more often so maybe my shoulder is used to abuse or the muzzle brake/flash hider is effective. I find I like the thumbhole stock just as much as the pistol grip that I have on my saiga. LOVE the new vepr, now I just need a scope... Here are pics of the vepr and her sister, saiga .223 for reference.

  2. Guess I didn't plan this one out very well. Midwest industries was the only one that responded to my email regarding safe use of their 14x1 muzzle brake on my vepr .308 and I had read positive reviews.. The front sight block pin is catching on the brake and keeping it from screwing all the way on. Any suggestions? Thanks ya'll

  3. I bought this rifle from classicfirearms, WPA said they believed this new batch from classic arms has the threaded barrels.

They installed a G2 trigger group, but it appears that the bolt carrier is catching a little on the top of the hammer. I have read that this will eventually wear in from friction as "polish" itself, but is there any worry that this could cause any other damage other than cosmetic?

  4. HAHA yeah I already have a saiga .223 that is converted that I bought about a year ago, that was after buying a couple mosin nagants. My disease is progressing. I know nothing about pinned muzzle caps, do they just knock out straight with a punch and hammer?

  5. Hello everyone, new to these forums. I just bought a VEPR 308 and I was wondering if someone could tell me if it looks like my barrel is threaded or not, and if it is, how hard is it to remove the muzzle nut? Thanks for your help!

  6. Hello, I'm new here everyone. I was wondering who did the conversion and how well it was done myself. It says something like What does it having a muzzle nut mean? I wonder if it is threaded.... I have been looking into the classic arms conversion but just haven't bitten the bullet yet, but if the muzzle nut means simply taking a nut off and being able to install a muzzle brake, etc. This might be the deal for me. IT does say CAI#Saiga762-N at the end of the ad, which makes me wonder if century played a roll in the conversion which makes me nervous from everything I have read.
