GunFun- I was only partially smart...ordered a conversion kit the week I bought my gun, but wanted to test it out before I did the conversion. I think it was more laziness then anything because I've definitely had plenty of time to convert it Mr. Crowley- I was reallllllllll anxious to shoot it...it didn't help that I live about 5 minutes from a state game land rifle and pistol range, but alas...no shotshells....probably another long wait. WHY DIDN'T I BRING MORE AMMO TO THE CABIN!!!! lol

Well, it's been 4 months since I bought my first Saiga and I had not gotten a chance to take her out and play. Just been sitting in the safe. Finally got a chance to go to my buddy's cabin this weekend where we could unleash the Russian beast. I'm happy to report I had an awesome time, and put 75 rounds of cheap Federal and Remington Target/Game load through it without a hiccup. Fed perfectly. Wish I brought more shotgun ammo but oh well. Liking the look of your shotty tunnelrat. In my mind thats exactly what I had invisioned when I bought my Saiga. Simple, no nonsense, black beauty. I'm now debating between getting wood furniture or keep it evil black. The wood furniture I've seen on here looks gorgeous. I wish Rusmilitary still had their furniture sets in stocks. I LOVE the look of their vented wood forearm. No it does not. (At least not that I noticed?? Only thing I noticed on there was the safety) The magazine was in the sealed plastic bag with the cleaning supplies so I didn't even notice when I was quickly messing with it at the store. I've been reading that you can add the bolt hold open to these older ones? Do you guys think it would be worth it to try and add when I'm attempting the conversion to pistol grip or should I leave it BHO-less? Thanks Caged. I'll probably be taking you up on that help offer. Finally saw the new deals at $499 online and called my local FFL to ask him if he would do a transfer. He said he actually had one he just got new in box from his distributor for around $550.
