  1. On top of the other items she got for me was a shooting table, and lots of other stuff. Breaking out my little red flyer wagon to carry everything If everything works out like I am hoing,, Tomorrow we should have 22 cal, 20ga, 7,62x39, 5.556, 7.65x54, 9mm ..270, 30-06, and maybe a few black power 1847 Walkers with a few other smokepoles. Will take a week to clean everyghint
  2. Well today was a sunny dry day and hopefuly tomorrow will be the same. Wife being the wonderful woman she is bought a three wheeled Gun Buggy for me. You can load up tons of ammo and other items along with place for two long guns that can be secured and you still have room for a couple others sitting in the center. The size of tires/wheels makes it very easy to move so the issue of carrying my junk has now been addressed, just got to get my grandson lined up to go and blaze away. Again to everyone thanks for the support and good words, I would like to apolize to everyone that I used this
  3. Elvis I always look foraward to spending time with a friend. When I posted this I guess I had a big Big feeling Sorry for myself. And yes we are a dry county. But that's ok for me I gave drinking about 12 yrs ago.
  4. Thanks guy and I really mean it. Guess I posted this while I was in a down and out mood, cause I generaly don't complain execpt to my dog. XACEX back 20 yrs or more I did reload everything, and that is a good idea. Give me something to do, make me quit smoking (well at least in that room) and who know I might discover the best load ever for every caliber around. (hey it could happen) TAPEWORM3 I am way out in the sticks N.W. of Birmingham, I met my wife there in Gulfport, and have step daughter and grand kids there now. Weather here for last few days has been lousy to partly cloudy and
  5. Back in Jan of 07 I threw in the towel and let my wife take me to doctor for issues I had. Tuns out it was cancer. OK did the radition thing and chemo treatement (never lost one hair). Went through the surgery, and was expecting to wake with a plastic bag hanging from the side. My doctor did everything he could and all the parts work more or less like there are meant too. Took about 3 - 4 weeks to get fully recovered and back to my hobbies. Next thing I had to see a orpedic surgeon because plates and screws in the neck (result of big truck not stopping) and this doctor was going to remo
  6. Tell you what. I will give you half the answer. Take the gas plug out and look where it lines up. Low brass has lower pressure so it needs to let more gas flow past the gas plug to push the bolt and carrier back. later Simple as could be, I asked myself why I didn't just think of that but guess it was too easy. Thanks that was the best way to get the answer.
  7. Ok more information that I did not know... makes me feel like green horn or some one that has never owned a gas operated weapon. Only thing in regards to the setting when selecting the NUMBERED setting is the number put next to the indent pin or does the selected number up away from the dentent pin. Sooner or later you guys will tell me go figure it out myself, but until then I will come up with as many serious question just to keep your minds working. Thanks again
  8. Thanks for the input and I think I have a new favorite Shotgun. AZG I don't mind at all telling the purchase price because I really think I did good on it. Shotgun, dustcover with high rise mount and optic, pressure switch light on barrel, one 5rd mag, 2 12rd mags and the orginal dust cover also, $700.00 out the door. I need to find a manual or publication on the complete tear down, or I could let my son do it. My son at age 10 could disassemble anything and reassemble without any insturctions at all. Now he is general manger at a high end optics with more certifactions than I ever k
  9. I visited my favorite Pawn/Gun shop last week and he had a Saiga 12 for sale. I left and a few days later I went back and was really surprised that it was still there, so I came home with it. Now I am 64 yrs and far from my first shotgun but this is an animal I know nothing about. Baiscly I have always prefered pump shotguns but this one was just one that I had to have. I don't have a guage to check the choke, but used the DIME test and it drops thru, so I know its not full choke, which leads to the first question about best shot for the Saiga. Right now I have a lot of 7 1/2 shot along
