The story that we do NOT hear, is how The POS last POTUS pushed this thru - WITHOUT Congress. All foreign Treaties NEED to be ratified by a super majority in Congress, but somehow THIS ONE was going to bypass that.
And primarily funded by US taxpayers.

I have close friends there, every year they would come and visit after there VISA ran out.
They have invited us to visit but that is not going to happen.
We have been looking into the possibility oF sending US dollars to them.
This can only get worse.
We've Been sending dollars to my in laws there for years. It doesn't really do any good now, there's just nothing to buy no matter what the currency.
Brother in law made it out with his little boy last week, his wife 28 years old died a few months ago because she couldn't get basic medical treatment. Would have been a day surgery here, there it was a fatal condition.
Wife's mother and two sisters with kids still stuck smack in the middle of that shit.
Now the Fat little dick-tater wannabe is offering 1.5 million free AKs for his loyalists. That should end well.
What a fucking mess.

Recently picked up a Henry 45-70 carbine, great little gun. Well made, light and easy to handle, cycles and shoots very nice. I like the tube magazine, it seems faster to load than the Marlin side charging trap door.
Trigger could be better. It has no external/manual safety, big plus. The trigger slides a hammer blocking thing so it uses a little trigger pull to move the safety out of the way. It's not terrible by any means but imho it could be better. (Only negative I could think of) the trade off for not having a stupid cross bolt safety is worth the slightly longer trigger pull for me.
If I ever find one on the shelf in .44 I'm taking it home. I want the carbine .44. Maybe I'll just have to order one.

I like sharpening my good knives by hand, Something therapeutic about it.
What drives up a wall is all the kitchen knives, scissors, dog nail trimmers, garden shears and whatever other edged tool has been abused by family and friends that seem to always want me sharpen their shit.
I will absolutely be getting one of these things to try out.
Chile's product reviews haven't steered me wrong yet.

That's interesting, my first thought when I heard this story was, I wonder if this idiot was even on a plane.
I doubt the airlines will be willing to give up the billions $$ in revenue by forcing gun carrying passengers to find other means of transpo.

Friend of mine has a Marlin in 45-70, I was surprised how "tame" it is out of such a light gun, relatively speaking of course. Definitely makes steel ring a nice tone.
Right you are, recoil is very tame. It's really a handy little rifle, quick target acquisition and seems on target right out of the box.
Only plunked a few shots in my back yard but so far I like it a lot.
We got a cat getting a little to bold for my liking around here, I figured a quick handling thumper would be an appropriate add to the family. I don't care much for cats, especially 160 pound ones when their killing the neighbors livestock and tearing up their pets.
