  1. S!

Well.. I went out pretending they were Grizzly bears. We ain't got Real Dangerous game here in PA. I took a trapdoor so as to give one a chance to eat me..I got to eat it. "It could have gone either way!"(maybe)

Anyways..to help talk you into or out of the Marlin Guide gun.. I wanted one too..and bought a 95 which is the longer version instead but I played with the guide gun first. Cool rifle! I shot the ported version and the non-ported and the ported sure does reduce muzzle rise! If one was planning to really stoke the 45-70 in the short guide gun..It would be a good choice..to have the ported barrel. I love the 45-70 but consider it to recoil hard in the Marlin compared to more powerful calibers in othe rifles..just so you'll know.

I bought mine with one goal in mind..scout rifle. I put on a 2x scope out there on the barrel and only ask of it to drop what I can see..UP CLOSE. I call it my lucky rifle now cause it got me 2 bears and a boar when I know I would have not got the shot with any other rifle I own. 350grain at over 1900fps..not bad for a caliber that was at Custard's Last Stand! ;)

  2. S! ALL!

I already bought my 338 bear gun toy so I'm looking to consolidate my losses..LOL. Anyone feel like doing some wheeling and dealing? I have a Saiga410 conversion with (2) 10 round mags..would trade for a Saiga 12 or..maybe any other Saiga within range of worthy trade. I can't hunt with a S410 here in PA so it is all for fun for me. (I actually spin of envy and confusion when you all talk of such things in other states)????

Speaking of funny(sortAA) I see that the dude tresspassing on hunting ground..that killed 6-8 folks(in self-defense while they were un-armed) finally made court TV. Interesting TV at lunch break..bewhildering but interesting.

  3. Looking to sell my Saiga 410 for new hunting rifle money. Wife said, "Sell 1 to get one!" I hate when she says that. :cryss:

Not sure what's a fair price. I can provide pics if and when I get serious 'bites' that get me near my new Savage308 money. It is the model that has the 2 gas settings and I did do the conversion and bought (2) 10 round mags. The shotgun was test fired 10x only...exactly one mag full. ;) Send money or ideas for how much is a fair price locally.

    Thanks ahead~ Ned

  4. I bought a Saiga 410 but have no REAL use for it. I'm not sure which model but it does have the 2 gas settings. I did the conversion and currently have a non-folding Romanian folder attached. I also have (2) 10 rnd mags and was hoping you all might help me come up with a fair asking price. I test fired it with 10 shells..that's it.

  5. Yo Saiga12ers!

I ain't giving it away and I'm a smidge wary of interneting a deal BUT.. I my kids are along way off from doing what I did at their age and it just don't thrill me enuff per the cost of 410 ammo. It is an older model I think and I own 2- 10 round mags.. I've done a test fire of 20 rounds and it has a conversion of Tapco and Kvar parts..never did the finishing touches of tigger guard and repainting the bottom but the conversion is tight and Shepards hook is replaced along with G2. I'd trade for another Saiga. Cell phone# might follow to work out details.

  6. I finally took mine along to camp. I located a bunch of 3" rem shells around the house and after we installed our final sandbag against our new backstop I let her loose. 20 rounds later(in 20 or so seconds)...all I could thing was..how happy I would have been with one of these 10 years ago when I grew up around farm lands. My kids are gonna miss out.

  7. Damn scary thread. I live in PA..got lots of sqeeters and ticks in my back yard..and 4 little kids. I spray and pray but you can't NOT get bit from a tick or a few dozen sqeeters around here.

Anyhoo..I looking to trade my S410 and buy a S12 sooner or later. I bought the 410 for the kids but they have longer to go til they rate a semi than I will live.

I did the conversion..Trigger guard I did crappy..needs a weld at the front..I didn't care about looks...just function. I have 2-10 round mags that still are in the bags. If I can locate another 12 I'll be selling the 410.

  8. S! Snake!

I bought my 1st Saiga due to my lack of thrill after viewing a Romanian AK at my local shop...I just wanted a "Defense-Rifle" and $350 for THAT rough looking rifle made look deeper. I found the Saiga at a Kmart type store and easily spent $350 bring my Saiga back to "Defensive-rifle" status..BUT..Dang they are new and sweet..not a 30 year old pass- around. I so wish I would have bought more that 1 S12 while I could! :cryss:
