I'm feeling a little left out as my 04 does not have dimples!
-
I have a few different bayo's and they all have varying degrees of snugness on my Saiga and Yugo. They are all pretty straight though...something looks wrong on yours but I'm not sure what!
-
Yeah, I think I will pass on this FH. The one I posted above will fit all calibers up to and including 7.62 as per manufacturer but I just don't think it will look good on a full size gun. It was designed for Krinks.
-
Ah, ok...not really crazy about any of those brakes. I kind of like the look of the 4 piece but I'm no sure if will look good on the Saiga, afterall, it was designed for short barreled Krinks. I already have the regular Bulgy style but wanted something for a little change up once in a while. What is CSS website??

First of all, do you guys think this flash hider would look cool on my Saiga 7.62?

Also, If I were to buy some internal parts for spares, should I get AK74 parts such as the gas piston and recoil spring? Are these guns basically AK74's that fire 7.62x39?

BHO is the little silver lever that sticks out from the bottom of the receiver to the right of the trigger. You can see it in his video above.

Looks great man! Glad everything worked out in the end!

I think the GB lug is more cosmetic than anything. The rod is secure and not going to come out...I guess I just like the look of the lug better!
-
I've looked all over the interwebs and I do believe that Saiga Underfolder club is pretty exclusive!
-
Is there any disadvantage to using a cleaning rod with my gas block? The gas block does not have the lug for the rod to pass through. The rod does seem to stay secure with just the bayo lug and front retaining groves. I don't seem to have any rattling issues either. Just curios to what you guys are doing? I don't really want to spend money on having a new GB installed...not right now anyway!

Is #6 still available? Does it have a wood upper HG?

It can be done but I'm not sure how hard of a job it is...mine is an Atlantic conversion that I bought from a private seller. Here are some photos to get you inspired!

Ah, OK...I got it. I'm new to Saigas and wasn't really sure what the differences are between milspec guns and off the shelf Saigas. It has all the correct Russian barrel pieces, FSB, GB, RSB, Handguard retainer as the AK103 and or 74M in 7.26x39. Everything is pinned on instead of dimpled like a Saiga barrel.
This was just a different route to a Saiga "front end conversion", with no mismatched parts of different origins. Eventually it will be as close to a full Russian AK103 as i can take it (hopefully).
-
Both my AKs kind of rattle a little bit but the rods never seem to want to slide out or come loose.
-
What is the difference between Saiga barrel and Mil Spec Barrel?
-
I've had Kvar's and wood on mine and the bottom hole was not used on either application. Just make sure the inside is smooth or it will interfere with the hand guard clearance...
-
Nice! I love the red furniture! I ended up getting more of an oak look for mine...but as soon as I can afford new handguards, it's Russian Red for me!
-
Mine was tight as hell...I had to use a crescent wrench on the back of the gas tube block.
-
Is that the Latrobe Bulletin? If so, we may be neighbors!First pic, weird lighting and fingerprints.
Second pic, half of wifes magazine.
Oh yea, does anyone know what to do with that little cross pin? Should I drive it out, or cut it?
Nice rifle BTW! I think it looks better with the normal AK gas tube.
Beaver Shots! Post'em!
