  1. That's what I've been doing for the most part. Going to test it out soon and see how it goes. Bought some Federal bulk to put through it. Acquired some more mags and put a different stock on it.
  2. I went ahead and did some deburring and polishing tonight on the FCG and BCG since I was having trigger reset issues and the BCG was catching on the trigger hook as it cycled. All in all, the gun cycled just about everything other than the federal bulk. But to be fair, I was hip firing it with those.
  3. As the title says. Finally did something I've been wanting to do for a long time and I'm extremely happy with the result. I used ALG FCG, the Phoenix stock from CSS, and a Hogue grip. I was going to pay someone to do it, but I'm glad I built the confidence to do it myself. Now I know the gun inside and out. It functions correctly, just need to shoot it. I am thinking of doing a different stock as it just feels real cheap, and then of course some new mags.
  4. Thanks for inspiring my confidence some more. I just watched the CSS videos and those are exactly what I needed. Thanks!
  5. ^I do have all those minus the punches. I have looked through a lot of the diy's here, just looks intimidating for me and I don't want to screw something up. I have never drilled out rivets before, so I really don't know how I will do. I guess I will get some punches and go to town lol. Will I need a dremel too?
  6. Just picked up my beauty from the local gun store today. Very excited to get out and shoot this thing. As soon as I put a few rounds through her to get her nice and broken in I will start doing my conversion. Since I don't have the means to do the conversion myself there is a local gunsmith that does a lot of work with ak style guns, so I will be giving it to them. Any other pointers I should take as far as what ammo I should use and stay clear of? Thanks. -Aaron
