  1. Ok. I put some lubrication back on. But only on the most critical components, such as trigger mechanisms, bolt, rails, BHO spring, etc. do you think it's sufficient or should I put lube on other metal sections as well? Thanks

  3. Hello everyone. Let me start off by saying that I like to give my saiga a very detailed cleaning after every shooting session. When I'm done cleaning, I usually wipe all the parts completely dry. I don't like to leave any oil in there in case it accumulates any dirt until the next time I shoot. I only lubricate my saiga prior to shooting. My question is regarding a gun scrubber (solvent/degreaser) that's called Birchwood Casey gun scrubber. This solvent is pretty cool as far as the cleaning goes. Doesn't take much of it to clean the sh* out of gun internals. And because of its formula, it
  4. I can't be asked to leave it there. I feel I have to brush the barrel perfectly clean each and every time. So I think I'm using the brass brush more often than I should. What do you guys think?
  5. Gents, is it ok to move a brass brush both ways inside of the barrel by switching the direction? Cuz some people say you should only move the brass brush one way at a time (not change the direction of the brush whilst inside of the barrel? How about the damage that a brass brush can do to chromed saiga barrels? Cuz every second time I shoot my saiga, it develops a sticky powder fouling that can only be removed by a brass brush? Please advise. Thanks
  6. Ya injener. Arbuzi ne pradayu. I have paid about 3000 usd for the rifle. But it's not OCD. Its the freaking corrupt customs in Azerbaijan. Oh and yes, the gun laws are very similar to those in Russia. Thanks. I know this price is crazy. But the dealers are swearing that the customs People are charging them ridiculously high import taxes.

  8. Gents, I recently purchased a saiga 12C exp01-030. They say this model cycles low brass as well as high brass. Because its got a gas plug that automatically releases excess gas when firing magnum loads and doesn't require adjustments for low brass. So far I have only fired a couple of 2 3/4 cartridges of 50 grams (buck shot) and 2 3/4 cartridges of 32 grams (slugs). I have to confess that the 32 gram slugs were ejecting very weakly. I fired 10 rounds. No FTE though. I was under the impression that anything weaker (weaker than 32 grams?) would cause FTE. What's the LOWEST load (in grams) th
  9. I'd like to use this opportunity and say hello to everyone on this forum. I live in Azerbaijan Republic. In case somebody wonders, this is half way across the earth from the U.S. Today I got myself a saiga 12C exp 01-030. I also have a saiga 410. But I'm most proud of the 12C which I bought today. I feel sorry for myself. Because I have the OCD. Obsessive compulsive disorder. Don't get me wrong. I'm not crazy. I have masters degree in mechanical engineering and so on. I am educated. But I feel stupid because the OCD makes me do funny things. Just research OCD on google and you'll know wha
