  1. So, I've been playing with my Kushnapup lately, which I run with an ultimak gas tube rail and an Eotech 512 holographic sight. It's pretty awesome, but I was thinking that I might really like a set of iron sights as a backup. Given the Eotech, this is something that I would probably want to be able to co-witness with it (flip up iron sights, perhaps?), and everything is on the same rail. I also just recently got one of the new Steyr AUG A3 CQC's, which has a similar, single top rail, and which I'll also be running with an Eotech holosight. I was thinking that anything that would work for t
  2. Alright, I've sold off a big chunk of the items, and had to break up a few other lots. I will start another thread with the remaining items shortly - this thread may be closed.
  3. Updated with sold items. If you're interested in any of the others, feel free to sned me a PM - some great deals here, and I'm willing to consider other offers!
  4. I take it this has come up before, and there is a concensus that it will take awhile then? In my defense, I didn't say that it looked like it would happen soon, I just said it looked like it might. Eventually.
  5. Well, it turns out that chicago screws simply don't commercially exist in any size smaller that 3/16" (or at least, not that I can find). Possible market there if someone wants to make a few thousand custom - but I'm not doing it. I've got some other ideas on possible solutions though, and I've got some stuff in the mail. Once it gets here, we'll see if it works. Also, comments: Clearly you are a well-adjusted gentleman with no particular opinions on this matter, and I find your contributions to this discussion to be very well taken! In all seriousness though, I do like the look o
  6. Apologies if this has been posted already, but I haven't seen anything yet on the forum so I thought I'd share: http://www.guns.com/md-arms-patents-double-stack-magazine-saiga-12-double-stack-shotgun-magazine-6656.html Looks like MD arms is pretty serious about bringing something to market - looking at the patent application, I'd guess we're looking at 14-18 round capacity in something that doesn't look too terribly ridiculous. I'll take 5, thanks!
  7. Hm, that's an interesting thought, and one I hadn't considered. But truth be told, I like my gun, and I kinda want to keep it - I've done all the work myself, and I know it works. Also, I would like to keep the ability to switch from converted to non-converted, so I think this is worth the hunt - for me anyways. Off to the hardware store!
  8. Yup - looks pretty good. Now the only question is where can I get them in the right diameter and length and (ideally) in black.
  9. So, I've been getting my Saiga 12 ready for a new Kushnapup stock, and for that to happen, I need to have a the original factory trigger group installed. I've still got all the parts, but I'm running into a hiccup because I had to drill out the original rivets that they were mounted on for the original conversion. Does anyone have a suggestion on where I could get some sort of replacement for those rivets? Ideally something that I can install/remove with hand tools in case I want to re-convert it to the pistol grip? Seems like I'd just need some sort of bolt in the right diameter a
  10. Thanks for that, I had actually looked through that thread and another, and that was what gave me my ideas so far. The reason I posed a new thread was that I was hoping that someone knowledgeable here might be able to help narrow it down from those final choices. However, as I read through them again, and think some more on this, I really think that $200+ is just a little bit more than I want to pay right now for something so easy to break - particularly the HUD-style sights (although they do look neat). With that in mind I'm really leaning towards wither the Bushnell TRS-25, or the Vo
  11. Hey Forums. So, I've been looking for a new sight for my soon to arrive Kushnapup conversion, as it looks like I can't keep my old iron sights in this setup. As this is a shotgun, it seems like a reflex/red dot/holographic sight is probably the way to go. I also looked at more conventional scopes, but given the inherently short-range functionality of this device, fast and effective target acquisition would seem to be the way to go. I'm a bit stuck however, as I don't know much about sights. I don't mind spending for quality if it makes a difference, but I would hate to spend more than
  12. Thanks guys, that's very helpful. In retrospect, I think this may have been a few too many points to do all at once - I'm going to start a new thread with just the sight question so that it's a little bit less "information overload"
