If you are, what mounting system are you using and how do you like the sight and your chosen mount method?

I recently bought an IZ 139 with sporter stock. I'm ready to do a conversion with CSS kit. My stock options are Warsaw length 9.25" and Nato length 10.5". For better reference what is the stock length for the rifle i have with sporter configuration? I'm not sure on how to measure.

Bought my second Saiga this week, a 7.62 x 39 IZ 132. My first was a 308 that I picked backin April. I purchased a Tapco front sight adjusting tool from the dealer today and he told me I should "season the barrel" of the new rifle with 400 rounds or so before zeroing. I've never heard this before, what say the troops?

Was checking out the Tapco site on the Saiga products section came across this stock/grip alternative. This item is a bolt on unit but is not a conversion set up, trigger stays in the sporter rearward location. Anyone seen this or have experience with it?

I'm actually a very nice father of two sons and the grandpa of two boys. My youngest son is a successful offroad motorcycle desert racer here in the So Cal High Desert, Our main recreation focus is on that and we do our gun thing to get away from that grind.

I like your thinkin, but i need bucks for other recreational pursuits. Have Csspecs on order. My retailer has contacted Arsenal Inc. this morning In an attempt to easily correct this error. Ordered a Saiga IZ 139 308 from Davidsons Gun Genie. Gun was sold under the Arsenal Inc. product line out of Las Vegas Nv. Price was good and the firearm was shipped to my local dealer. I'm in California so I waited my 10 days for DOJ backround check and picked up the rifle tonight. I actually inspected the rifle a few days ago and all looked good. Went through the box at the local dealer when i picked up the gun tonight, all was good, rifle is there, magazine, manual. and cleaning kit in a seperate plastic bag. Bought my first Saiga, a 308 IZ 139, here in California. Take delivery next Tuesday the 24th. WOO HOO!! It's the biggest caliber rifle I've owned, my next largest is a 223 Mini 14. Really excited to get this rifle and go shooting in the desert near my house. Going to be super fun. No money for a conversion right now but would like to do a couple upgrades to improve my shooting experience. . Whats a good quality mag to go with? The rifle comes with an 8 round detachable mag. Also want to go with a red dot sight. What brand and model will stand up to the pounding of the 308 round a
