  1. No it did not cycle before any parts were changed. That's why I thought it was the gas system. Thanks for the input guys.
  2. Ok so I'm new at making topics. Here's the deal. My s12 hates to cycle anything besides slugs. Even 2 3/4 00buck has FTE. I have removed the gas block, drilled out the ports, polished some pieces on the bolt carrier, oh and the v plug that I now feel I wasted money on. When I pull my charging handle back I can feel a slight catch or resistance when the bulk of the bolt carrier travels over the hammer. I remember reading somewhere that the drop in g2 FCG needs some fine tuning an that part of it may be profiling the hammer. It makes sense to me cause I can see the bolt travel to the rear but bi
  3. Possible interference from Tapco g2 hammer leading to FTE.

Every round is STILL FTE with low brass. Bolt only makes it halfway to the rear. Recocks the hammer but no ejection or feeding. Anyone know where I can get some pictures on shaping my hammer? The bolt carrier seems to get snagged up but I don't want to take of too much or something that I shouldnt.

It's back together finally. Test fire tomorrow. If it works I'll do it all over again on my other s12. Only next time less boast damage I hope.

So I drilled out my ports today. They were way smaller than 3/32. It was pretty easy though. The bit follows the old hole for the most part. Getting my gas block off was a pain in the ass... Any secret tips for putting it back on? BTW I decided not to do the "D" mod. The pattern on the barrel showed all 3 were un-obscured.
  7. I have the chaos warthog brake on my s12 right now. However I'm having gas issues at the moment. The brake looks clean and deff sticks into doors, trees, or anything else I've decided to blow apart with some breaching rounds I picked up. When I'm done drilling out my ports and putting it back together I'll post some picks. Other than that what use I've gotten out of the warthog it has performed great.

I checked last night and it seems only one of my ports are completely open. The other two only go half way idk how I missed that. I am assuming that the 30 angle has the ports slanting towards the muzzle to prevent possible problems from the shot getting caught up in them.

3/32. Thats good to know. I guess I'll be stripping it down soon. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

So I got my Saiga 12 NIB awhile back. From the get go I was meet with disappointment. As fate would have it I think I ended up with a "vodka special". Of course it would not cycle any low brass walmart ammo, but also failed to cycle normal factory 2 3/4 00 buck on either setting. The only rounds I have gotten to perform were slugs. After fighting off the urge to cut my losses I order the parts kit and converted my Saiga. After a succsessful conversion and a new auto-plug I headed to the range. Still I had FTE almost every round. On top of that some of the rounds were being caught on the feed r
