  1. My daniels defense ate a case of tula in a 2 day period without an issue and not being cleaned.. my saiga 223 did the same also... both barrels look fine and im still grouping at 300 yards with my ar...

    +1 for a DD

I bet an AK would have similar wear if put to a torture test like that. I'm actually shocked the shrubies stood up that well, just goes to show you if you get the right model they are okish.

The amount of heat and abuse they took is crazy. That amount of heat cycling in such a short period of time is impressive. I wonder if they got a little cooked in the process lol.

  2. Am I just having a really bad day here or are most posters on this excellent forum just stupid? My Saigas fold to the right because I exploit the factory left hand scope mount rail. The folders in my case will not fold to the left...thus they must fold to the right. Pretty simple actually.

Yep...the factory left hand rails did suck totally as delivered from the Vodka factory, but they were both removed and properly realigned, (shimmed) sosss that both Eotecks shoot down the pipe right to left and up and down with the Eoteck's adjustment also exactly centered. Duhhh! Lots of time involved.

Please do not tell me you decided to chuck the factory side rail mount and instead choose to use a hinged top cover! Over time they will not stay zeroed!! Hello? My scope mounts let me remove the top cover without removing the Eotecks first. Trial and error. Hope this helps some. HB of CJ

Both Ace 9.0" length since I'm kinda still a big guy at 6' 1" and 200#, but I am dieting, but stilll remain an old coot which I can not help. Removing both tangs required courage, let me tell you, since by nature I am kinda chicken shit. smile.png

Ok so since this is the second time I've seen you go semi agro for no reason and insult peoples intelligence I'm gonna ask...

...Do you refer to yourself in third person in person or just using your username on a forum in third person?

And are you in fact stupid or do you just communicate like a stroke victim?

"These are a new style of Bulgarian mil spec polymer magazines. They are often referred to as "bullet mags" due to the bullet imprint on their sides. Let's face it, not everyone who is issued an AK can read, but just about anyone can figure out a picture diagram. nuff said. The mags have a slim steal liner in the feed lips, built inside of the plastic. Gotta look real close. These are brand new, not old surplus. In my opinion, they seem to be as tough as the Arsenal circle 10 mags. You will not bend them with your hand. I have not tried a "Russian" push up with this mag in my Arsenal SAM-7. At the range they were 100% reliable. A good value."

wish I had seen this "I have at least one of every kind of mag for the ak47. My ak is the Yugo M70ab2 type. This 40 rounder is by far the worst one. It doesnt fit the mag well right...extremely loose."

I will take them to the range before I decide the final verdict

  4. now if I could figure out why there isn't enough elevation adjustment, it's just about all the way down, I hope the dot doesn't have to move down any farther, I took the spacer out and that helped a bit, maybe I should rezero and move the sight farther forward since the dust cover is angled upward toward the rear. Iunno I'll figure something out, or since it's from Cabellas I emailed them my concerns and they said I could return it and find something else if need be or try a second one.

    It's not my fault! huh.png

  5. Ya anyone that knows Microtechs always notices how much smaller the pre-production 1st gen HALO is. I like the new size a lot, but the older one is just so sleek and light. The sound a HALO makes when it's drawn is quite a bit diff than the DAs. Kind of a long shhhoock noise, instead of that abrupt mechanical chunk.
