  1. It's not that easy, as a lower for what the UK call a section 1 firearm like this would have to be on your licence as the licence stipulates the type and number of firearms you are allowed. It would also need to be shipped to a registered dealer in the UK then added to your licence and the police written to and informed as well, which means I would actually either have to sell my current lower first or apply for another one on my licence and to do that I would need a good reason to have 2 of the same type. My licence even states the exact calibre and type of firearms I can own along with the amount of ammunition I can posses (except bird and buckshot) and also what I can do with them, for instance my akdal can only be used for target shotgun and clay pigeon shooting and my 223 can only be used on approved ranges for target shooting only.

Unless of course I am miss reading the uk firearms law.

Sorry just realised hijacking this thread, please just PM me if you have any comments on this.

  2. That's a good question

I run a SSA-E in my rifle and have a new Hyperfire just sitting around.

I should see if I can get one of them to fit and work. Hmmmmm

Thanks,  let me know how you get on please.

I have seen the S3G on a 223 AR and it shoots so fast, not really sure it is worth getting one for my Oly A2 as its a straight pull, but I will get one for my Spikes ST22

  3. I have a spare pre XN lower that I want to swap out for the one already on my MKA, the reason is it has the pistol grip cut off and I want to try a new grip. Having never ever taken a lower apart is there any instructions to remove the trigger, mag release etc and put them in the spare lower. I can see some pins holding parts in but no clue as to which order to remove things and the best way. If someone has a video even better.

    Thanks

  4. I use 28g 7.5 70mm cartridges in mine with a low power spring, it took about 250 rounds to break in, which was done in the first 2 hours at the range !!

I also shoot 32g 9 ball buckshot which is probably the heaviest load I use. I know it has been covered on other posts but I had issue with the gas locking screw coming loose which affected how it ran as when it was loose it leaked more and FTE/FTL until I removed the hand guard and tightened it up. I now use Loctite as after about 50 rounds it came loose.
