  1. gunfun and I sometimes travel out to the port angeles area. our uncle has a shop out that way, honestly though it wasnt hard to do. i did mine in my living room with a dremel, a hammer and a punch set.

i would watch the videos on the carolinia shooters supply website and fallow the steps

Let me know if your ever up in the PA area.

We shoot in my Backyard up here! ... when there is no surf LOL

I just wish I could watch just one conversion in person & then do the rest myself.

It's like anything for me, I really want to do things right by learning from the pros.

It really would be cool to attend a conversion workshop for Saiga Enthusiast.

I do think I will pull it off. Just may take awhile & some patients from my family wink.png

    Thanks again for the inspiration.

Whats the saying? Oh right, K.I.S.S.! Just watch the conversion video and do the S12 first. With the kit its VERY simple. I did mine on my own and then my friends later that week. Youll kick yourself for worrying about the difficulty. All you need is a drill for the rivets (a drill you should already have. If not, go buy one). And a dremel for the old trigger guard. When you spray it, dont tape up, just let it overspray so it blends in with the rest of the gun. That way there will be no tape lines. And be sure to drink a couple cold ones! Its actually a fun little project!

  2. I dont really see them getting any cheaper. And Pauly pointed out a good thing to look into with the RPK.

Im a college student and ive dumped about 2K since the shit hit the fan for guns I didnt have and wanted but Im sooo happy I got my M4. Fuck my savings lol. If the misses gives you slack about it, just let her shoot your new toy and she'll forget she was ever mad.

Just make sure you can buy ammo for the platform you choose. .223/5.56 is all but impossible to get right now...anger.gif

  3. Dont mess with texas! Homeowner pulls a shotty on a theif during a daytime robbery and the theif submits until cops can get there. The couples security camera captures it perfectly. This is awsome and should be spread around!

Oh the shotty also has a collapsable stock and pistol grip. So much for the evil weapon arguement!

Sorry if repost, but havent seen this vid on here yet.

Update: After viewing the video again, the home video was from someone elses house, not his (Paul's) own. He was protecting his neighbors property as well as putting a theif behind bars and solving a serial robbery case. That man should drink for free for at least a year. Awsome!

  4. Ammo is the big one (.22lr, .223, 5.56, hunting rounds, 7.62?). I have a folding stock on my S12. I would like to get a collapsable before theyre potentially banned. I would snag anything "tactical" including vertical foregrips, collapsable stocks, quad rails, and anything that can screw onto the end of your barrel. Basically, if theres something youd like to get in the near future, just go for it if its still reasonably priced.

Oh and everthing that has anything to do with AR15s is damn near impossible to get for a decent price right now.

  5. Hi

Anyone interested in getting together to discuss, dare I write the word:

    MILITIA

As far as I can tell there is none in our tree huggin granola munchin State. If you are serious about what may come down the pike, it would sure be better to make plans before the SHTF and not when we are under high pressure in the midst of it.

Do I have my tin foil hat on too tight or does this make sense to you?

There ARE people networking. This apprears to be a drop in the pond as far as total washington state gun owner, but its a start. Everything helps. Found this site after a quick google search.

    http://washingtonstatemilitia.ning.com/

My county, Whatcom, has 14 members.

Another thing that I can tell you is that most of the people ive talked to (dems, and repubs) realize that the grabbers are full of shit, so it seems that anyone with their head on straight isnt drinking the cool-aid.

  6. I have completely stopped shooting for fun, for now.

Shotgun shells are still available, along with most handgun rounds. Its .223/5.56 and .22lr that vanished and everyone is in horde mode. So my M4 is going into hybernation until I can stockpile a good amount of rounds for it. Plus reloading. Ill still be shooting my shotgun.

I have 3 boxes of clays to destroy! big_smile.gif

  7. Quick google search and found 5.56 FMJ.........for .89 CENTS/ROUND amazing.gif My ceilings around .60/rd.

God I hope my LGS at the end of the month has better prices...

    http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/index.php/cName/rifle-ammo-223-556

Sgammo has 5.56 tracers for like 54 cents a round

Ya My M4 was a panic buy so I dont hardly have any rounds to begin with. And tracers damage the gun if used too often so those are out.

Keep up with walmart. As of this moment my local WM is out of .223, .22lr and the other obvious rounds, BUT theyre getting a shipment in tonight! ph34r.png

  8. Im sure they arent the only ones.

Question is....are the molds running? If your business could be closed, INSTANTLY and any time, with the stroke of an anti-gun presidents pen...would you start throwing money away on making more mags? If Obama stops standard cap mag sales at the wrong time, magpul could be sitting on several million un-sellable mags.

How many other manufacturers are asking the same thing? Especially the smaller ones, that dont have the resources to fight the govt in court.

    Heres a thought!

If theres a grandfathered exemption, just get something to imprint a date stamp with "Made on xx/xx/xxxx". Youll get to sell em if a ban hits and if not, theyll most likelly become collectors items. Were suckers for something no one else has lol. If you gotta hire people from off the streets to do it. Have em make commission at 10 cents/magazine or something. Cheap as chips!

  9. There is never too much coffee. Coffee farmers gotta feed their kids too.

Just kick back with some good warm coffee to relax and listen to some soothing muse albums.

NO! NOT MUSE! THEYRE EVIL GUN HATING BRITS! I am also enjoying a fine malted beverage as I type this. beer.gif

I dont think were fighting, more so just discussing, Ive found VERY useful info in the political section that has helped me make my voice heard.

  10. @ OP, quit your whining and learn how to tune the gun, that or pay someone to do it for you... It'll run like a scalded rabbit.

@sweetcostarica, new 10rd AGP mags, still only $34.95 each direct from AGP... I just received three via UPS today.

    Converted Saiga 12, In-Stock, $999.99, http://www.classicfirearms.com/long-guns/russian-saiga-12-gauge-shotgun-1

Thanks, theyre backordered but I just ordered a 10 rounder. Hope I get it soon!

  11. Nice conversion! Did you buy yours with the polished bolt and carrier? If you get a folding stock, make sure it folds to the left. I got mine with the conversion kit and it folds to the right, covering the safety and interferes with the charge handle. Retarded design IMO. I do have a Hogue grip and love it! Locktight EVERYTHING because shit will rattle loose when you shoot it. Nice build and thank you and good luck with your Army service.
