  1. No worries guys, yeah I just wanted to go Bonesteel for my folder, as I wasn't a fan of the angle of the Russian folder, but yes for anyone else out there, that would still be a great choice!
  2. Okay, thanks for the info. I was so happy it ran great and the rails were straight, and shooting mixed loads just made me laugh it was pretty fun
  3. Yeah thats what I was thinking too, it was just so loose and wobbly I was worried at first I am sure its fine, I guess I will know when I get my bonesteel later this week!
  4. So I got my Vepr 12 on Monday and was thrilled but the one problem with it was the wooden laminate stock was wobbly as hell. I tried to tighten the two screws down the front one worked okay but the one on the tang had nothing to grab onto, just stripped. Now I know that they thrown on whatever they have on hand for Vepr's because they cannot import the functioning side folders and it keeps cost down, but I am just a little disappointed that a $1300 gun has the crappiest stock on any gun I have seen to date. I have a Bonesteel Side Folder Galil Style in route and should have it by the end o
  5. Boom! Just ordered mine too!
  6. Oh man I was hoping this week, 3-4 weeks is an eternity... It will be worth the wait though!!!
  7. Cameron, do you have a date that these will become available to purchase on?
  8. Gun Fun, I see what you are saying, I hadn't thought about it like that, really good point. Here is how I am setting mine up: Vepr 12 Wood Laminate stock version Bonesteel Vepr 12 Galil Style Folder TSS Trigger Kit CSS Gas Puck Chaos Rail (Ordering starts next week I think) Magpul AK Grip w/ CR123 storage (on order) Eotech EXPS2 Molot GK-01 (On order from Oleg @ Rusmilitary) What I would love to add personally Left side charging handle Chaos rear rail ISPC rail section replacment for rear sight Some way of adding rem chokes Molot 8 round mags Some kind of drum w/o the removal of
  9. I thought I was clear on the size of the mags a paragraph before, sorry if that came across wrong I meant stick mags for around $20-$40 or drums from $100-$250. Although it would be fun to see theat 40rd stick mag with a wheel And as a consumer demanding more from manufactures is what capitalism has been built on it, in fact it is how companies thrive and consumers find satisfaction with their products.. It is not a slight to any vendor on the forum just a list of what I would like to see. Also I do not think I need to guard my words to other Vepr 12 owners, I didn't put anyone down j
  10. Let me start this out by saying, I love the Vepr 12! An amazing product and tons of innovation from Molot but it seems like Stateside because of import restrictions and the relative newness of the product here, that despite some amazing vendors (who have put out some great stuff), that we have been extremely limited on custom parts, services, and access to some really cool Vepr 12 products. Now, I know with firearms as in all businesses products evolve with demand and a increasing client base but I am just trying to get a sense of what that evolution is looking like here in the US compared to
  11. Thank you guys for the responses, extremely helpful!
  12. I was wondering if anyone has this assembly on their Vepr 12 or knew of any resources or videos to help install it. I read somewhere they recommended using the retaining plate, but since I dont get my Vepr until Monday I am just trying to familiarize myself before I put on a few mods. Thanks!
  13. When you talk about polishing what tools or solvents do you use?
  14. For a complete layman, are there any resources that talk about what to use and where and how to polish these contact points. I have seen pics I just didn't really understand how it worked? Thanks for all of the help!
  15. Ahahhhhhhahahahhahahahahahahhaha so happy!!!!!!
  16. I was wondering what you guys have used for ammo to break you Vepr 12's in? I know people recommend using hi power loads first and then working down to buck and bird shot. Do I need to use 3" shells or will the 2 3/4 shells works just as well? I have some Winchester super X 7 shot buck that runs 1325 and am trying to figure out what all I need to pick up. I would like to look for good priced ammo and not blow a ton of money but I know I need to get a bunch of ammo too. I want to sight in a Eotech or FF3, what is a good range and would slugs be the best to zero the sights with? Any slug
  17. Yea I think it would be wierd too, I was just thinking how some people mount them on M14's up there, but that is usually beacuse of the lack of built in rails on the reciever, but yeah I am thinking more about the XPS2 now and hopefully with the Chaos it will run great mounted a little bit more towards the middle. Thanks for the help!
  18. Thanks for the info, i swear there was a long thread about this on another site, i will find it, but I totally get what your taking about, thanks for the clarification. Question about the EOTech, I had read that they work mounted farther uo because of the unlimited eye relief and faster aqisition, has anyone thought about running it on the front section of the rail or would that be wierd? Oh man now you are making me think about the EOTech and bumping up from the FF# to the XPS2...Crapt, I can't stop spending money on this project Here is the thread I remembered reading EC and Dres ki
  19. Menace were you thinking about any other optics? I was between the XPS 2 and Burris FF3. If Chaos puts out a new dust cover with rail it might fix the optic problem, but I believe the issue was the rivet in the middle of the cover that comes into contact with moving parts when mounted in the middle. So if it was just a new rail that is taller I wonder if it would actually fix the problem....Hard to know, thinking out loud, any thoughts?
  20. I got this from Chaos after asking the same question, I know it seems like forever they posted that picture forever ago...
