  1. I just picked up an MKA1919 from Centerfire Systems on a gunsmith special fairly cheap. When it shoed up the stock was crack behind the receiver and it was missing the mag catch. As far as the reciver goes my buddy, who is a smith said he can easily repair it and then we can cut it for the AR buffer tube adaptor. The problem is the mag catch isn't available any where that I can find (part # 4001062, 4001063, 4001064 and 4001065). So I thought about going to a Tooth and Nail or SAS lower, but it looks like they reuse the factory mag catch assembly. Can anyone point me in the right direction t
  2. Is the Tapco Saw grip the only one that will work with the Tromix trigger guard? It has the nut welded to the bottom and I don't know if it has the proper angle for a standard ak grip? I'm fairly sure the ak grip screw is the wrong thread and thread angle. It would suck if that's the only grip that works. I wanted to try and run the md arms molot grip.
  3. Can I get plum furniture anywhere for a siaga12? I know kvar offers a handguard in black that is based on an rpk but nothing in plum.
  4. New pics with all it's Magpul stuff
  5. Did you notice I put my optic on backwards in the last pic? Guess it's hard to tell with my wife loud carpet in the background
  6. First thanks to all the forum members for imparting your knowledge to me for the build. Also Matt at T&N and Jim at Firebird, your products kick ass. So here it is so far it's a late pre-xn model mka. I added the Tromix Stock Adaptor, Tromix trigger group, Tromix piston, Firebird hanguard along with their guide rod, last but not least a magazine baseplate (not the one in the pic). I plan to add a brake, possibly the firebird FCG, Salem6 extended mags, Possibly a aluminum lower in the future. And one for RK I followed your advice for posting for a newbe
  7. Ya flatland I have a pre xn gun too and I got the pre xn handguard. It's great in every way just a tight fit over the last 1/3 of an inch of the barrel. I'm going to file it a bit next time I strip the gun. Jim I didn't see the full size on your site or I would have ordered direct from you. I even called and left a message with your sales dept and never got a call back. I prefer the new style larger holes to the smaller slanted ones
  8. Ok so it's no issue then....mine is a late pre xn model....by the way great product
  9. I ended up buying a firebird side charging standard length rail from centerfire systems, it was the cheapest full size option. When it showed up I must say I was very impressed with the quality! It's a very well engineered and built piece of kit. I installed it today and only had two small hiccups. First the alignment hole on the top, but I had done enough research I know about that. Took me a few second with a drill bit. Second was the fit over the back of the barrel. It was so tight I had to use a rubber mallet and tap it into place....took about 3 to 4 good taps with the hard rubber persuad
  10. Looks great, I did my sons airsoft gun in marine corp woodland Marpat with spray cans and sponges and it looks almost professional. I don't have to balls to do it to a real gun though
  11. Ya price seems reasonable and I like that it takes standard ar parts. For the most part I have nothing but good things to say about all the vendors of the mka items. From Matt at T&N to Jim at Firebird I'm glad they keep making new products for the mka shotguns.
  12. I would have defiantly bought it if it was a complete kit at the 159.00 price. I just don't have the time or tools to accurately cut the guide rod, right now. Kind of sucks I really wanted the t&n hand guard it looks very high quality.
