  1. Don't know what the rings do, but standard AK pistons have them, Saigas do not, for whatever reason.

The holes in the gas tube (I think that's what you meant) do have some effect, supposedly some noticable positive effects in respect to muzzle climb and recoil. If you know what you are doing, go for it. Otherwise, just buy a $15 gas tube with holes already drilled, and keep the Saiga tube as a spare.

  2. I have ordered my AK handguards from there, and many others have ordered from there as well.

The verdict is: they are a very honest company, and do good business. If you ordered an item that is in stock, expect it in 7-14 days. I got my stuff exactly a week after ordering. The shipping price did not show up anywhere until it was charged (on my CC) and on the invoice inside the package(s). The shipping is fair, no more than 6 pounds I believe. You have to remember this is from the UK. If the item is not in stock, expect a good while for them to get it, then 7-14 days after that. This may possibly be over 2 months. Stick with what is in stock, things should go well.

  3. I believe that a forum member has US FCGs for unconverted Saigas, not sure who though. Perhaps Dinzag? A set of wood furniture would be a good addition, as would a gas piston. That is 5 US parts, you may need another depending on how the folding stock is counted parts-wise.

  4. :killer:

What is this (warn) thing at the buttom? Do I need to be approved by someone?

Nothing to worry about, it just shows your level of being warned before being banned. I don't think it is used here... If you're real bad, you just get the boot.

Where in Florida are you located?

  5. Looks good, just like mine does now. :D

No gas tube problems with x39 retainers, but it is a very close fit. My only complaint/comment is that the retainers do not cover the 'lip' of the front of the handguard fully. They mostly do, but the back and top parts of the HG front lip stick out a bit.

I don't know if there is a way around that, but it is no big deal, especially after I paint that small area black to match.

  6. Without having my mossy in front of me....I think that looks like the part that "pushes to the side" so the next shell can slide out of the mag tube and onto the lifter.....

but take that with a grain of salt

Nah, that part is the long one right above the red box.

If you don't get it figured out, let me know. I will give you my phone number, you can talk to me while I take mine apart. I haven't taken it apart yet.

I'm not sure if that would help, as I don't know where to start looking. But I'll keep that in mind, so PM me your number and when to call.

    Thanks for the responses, guys.
