  1. Thanks for the comments Doc .......I am happy with the Thug : I will feed it Buckshot and 3" shells and it will be fine . The Saiga on the other hand is going to be sold - I am done screwing around with it .

  2. No , at least if by 3 you mean 3" shells . I'm back from the farm and the results with my Saiga 20 were poor . I could not get the mags to seat at the right angle in the gun to make them perform . I have decided that for a gun designed to be a battlefield weapon - mine is far too finicky and temperamental to rely on . I'm selling it

  3. I got my three 20 ga. shotguns ready to rock .

Saiga 20 , Mossberg Turkey Thug , and the H&R/NewEngland Pardner Pump .

The extended mag tube on the H&R ( 8 + 1 ) is made for the Turkey Thug but fit on the H&R mag tube .

But the follower that came with the gun is slightly bigger then the other cloned pieces and the Remington 88 and all the other

follower cups slip right thru the H&R's pipe ......... I need a custom made "fat " follower plug for my H&R.

The Thug is going to have to run on expensive Buckshot or it will stovepipe on any cheap shells .

The Saiga is all dolled up with 2 piece stock set in light Maple with  a nice threaded  compensator and (4) Csspecs 10 round mags .

It will run fine on 3" shells but gets to jamming with the 2 3/4" crap .

The Turkey Nitro 3" works great on the gas block # 1 setting ; the cheap shells wont work on # 2 .

All three guns kick too hard - the Thug is big letdown as it kicks like hell in a semi auto,

the Saiga needs a recoil pad .

So far the pump Pardner is the best !   the other two seem to have too many issues that cause non- cycling

  4.

at least that what I read in another thread ..........

now maybe we can interject some excitement into this Forum !!

Yup, real exciting!  Funny too! (sarcasm)

i think it more correctly defined as ferociousness

I'm takin my Saiga 20 ga custom stock and all down to the farm and aim to shoot more then 100 rounds of #3 bucksot -

if it don't run right on Remington Express 20 pellet shot ; then I reckon I'm ready to sell @ $1000

  5. disappointing isn't it ?  Maybe now that the Pres. has banned Saiga's - we will get a tad more activity here on this very lonely Saiga 20 forum .

perhaps if you were more specific in what your intent was/is ..........

are you looking to sell ?  want to buy ?  or just curious as to value ???

  6. Thanks csspecs .....

I did get the plastic 3" mag with the gun ; but it holds a mere 5 rounds and I really want to use my csspecs 8 and 10 rounders .

I just got a case of Remington Express #3 Buckshot at a great price . ( .60 cents a round )  Next week I'm headed back to the farm to try them out .

Surely they will run fine in my Saiga 20 .......and I sure hope they cycle in my Mossberg SA-20 Turkey Thug as well .

  7. AA re-cvrd:

I am with you ; my gun is for self defense and I would use full powered shells for that - but practicing and target range shooting is expensive @ a buck a round so I was trying the cheap stuff to save a few dollars .  I am now convinced that I will feed the gun what it shoots reliably , and that would be high quality Buckshot and slugs .

I was pretty disappointed that the RIO Buckshot would not fit in my Csspecs mags . Not the mags fault , they are designed for 2 3/4" shells and the stinking RIO shells are NOT . They are just a hair short of a full 3 " shell - same thing with those Slugs I got from Latvia ; they say 2 3/4" right on the side of the shell and on the box ,yet they are 3" !! Whats up with that B.S ?

  8. What was the nature of the malfunction?stove pipes

Did the empty fail to eject and get stuck?yes

Or did the empty eject and the round fail to feed?never got past the stove piping

I am glad you posted , as one of my 8 round mags from your company is not functioning right - it seems to have the follower jam and stick ...... can I send it to you folks to have it checked out ?

  9. Well I finally was able to shoot my 20 ga down on the farm . I had had it worked on by Cobra and had high expectations !

It ran great on 3" Turkey loads on the #1 setting in the 5 round plastic mag that came with the gun ......but from then on the party was over .

The Rio Buckshot that sez 2 3/4 " on the shells did not run - they are more like 3" long - not 2 3/4 ; and my shrapnel slugs that say there 2 3/4 " were also 3 " long ...... not sure whats up with that , but they also say 2 3/4 " on them . They ran fine on #1 in the 3" mag as well . Everything else would not cycle without stove piping on the #1 or #2 setting . I could not get anything to work in my Cspecs 8 and 10 round mags .  I tried various cheap low brass shells from various manufactures and none of that crap would work .........

I sure was happy the 3" shells ran flawlessly - but what kind of high powered shells can I get to cycle thru my 2 3/4" mags ??

I ain't complainin' .......I think Cobra did a swell job and The Cspecs mags are fine ; but I have to accept the fact that my Saiga will not eat cheap ammo and only wants to fire the powerful shells . Thats fine with me . What do you fellers put in you Cspecs mags ??

  10. I don't even think you are suppose to run 2 /12" ammo in csspecs mags?

man , I hope that is not the case .....i got some 200$ invested in those 8 and 10 round Csspecs and I got a boatload of those DUPO20 Expanding Ammo slugs , and there 2-3/4" 'ers !

And yes, it would be nice to get it to cycle that cheapo low brass ammo - but the purpose of my Saiga is to blow big holes in the bad guys ........

    you got me kinda confused ;  I didn't know there even was 2 /12" ammo !?  (u mean   2 1/2 "  ? )
