  1. I just picked up a Chaos Apollo S308 keymod fore end but it didn't come with install instructions and I can't find them online. I emailed Chaos but have yet to hear back from them, maybe they're busy at SHOT Show. If anyone has installed this and can give me a quick run down it would be greatly appreciated. It seems simple enough I just dont want to fuck it up as it was pretty spendy. Thanks.

  3. I did contact and they got right back to me, they said it was a casting mark, not a crack. Does that sound legit?
  4. So I picked up my new DDI AK47S and upon inspection it looks like there is a small crack is the gas block under the paint, anyone have experience with something like this?
  5. I'm not worried about the carrier hitting the rear trunion, Tapco G2 fcg's are harder than milspec and the hammer isnt the right shape either, thus some carriers made of softer metal or that weren't properly heat treated have a propensity to mushroom out from repeatedly hitting the hammer.
  6. Do any of you guys have any experience with DDI's new American made forged bolt and bolt carrier? I just ordered one of their rifles and was concerned the G2 fcg might cause the rear of the carrier to mushroom. I was thinking of dropping in an ALG AK Trigger to try and avoid the chance of this happening all together. Thanks in advance for any info, much appreciated.
  7. Hey guys, I have a quick question I was hoping you all might be able to answer; Does anyone know if the Tapco G2 FCG Dinzag uses in their Saiga conversion kits has the hammer reshaped to avoid mushrooming the carrier? Any info is appreciated, thanks in advance.
  8. I guess Ill just have to take it to the range and see what happens, might have a RS Regulate mount for sale soon! Thanks again for the input.
  9. Thanks for responding guys, you confirmed what I was afraid of; crooked side rail. I put the mount on my .308 and it lined up exectly the same. I really dont want to start drilling holes in my receiver, would it adversly effect the accuracy of the optic if I were to run it as is? Thanks for the input.
  10. So I went ahead and sprang for an RS Regulate modular side rail system, I went with AK-303 (forward mount only) base and an AKR for the top. After installation I noticed that there was a much larger gap between the rail and dust cover on the muzzle end than there was on stock end. My side rail doesnt seem to be level with the bottom of the receiver, I was wondering if any one else had this problem or if it is normal? Here are some pics, any info is much appreciated.
  11. I would stay away from the dog leg, Id go with the RS Regulate modular side rail system, very light weight, strong, low profile and customizable.
  12. I dont have welding capibility unfortunately, if I cant find a factory lever I'll buy an enhanced lever from Krebs.
  13. So I was doing a conversion on one of my Saiga .308's and I ended up grinding off too much material on my safety lever. Im looking to buy a factory safety lever to replace it, can pay via pay pal or money order, I know this post should go in the WTB section and I did post one there but I thought more people would see it here, thanks.
  14. Title says it all, I'm looking to buy a factory .308 Saiga safety lever, can pay via pay pal for money order.
