The only parts that won't interchange are the recoil spring, barrel, and bolt(and related bolt parts). Member on another forum rebarreled his 74 to 47 caliber, and this was all he changed.
So you say recoil spring, barrel, and bolt(and related bolt parts) i need from AK-47? thats clear.
But the question is: every other parts i have to take from AK-74 or AK-47? Or is it all the same and i can take it from AK-74 OR AK-47?
W8lifter mean i have to take it from AK-74. Right?

Hello. I have a Saiga AK-103 semi-automatic.
http://www.thaifighterclub.org/images/answer/A05106482110313124817.jpg
In fact, it is a AK-74 in AK-47 calibre.
Now my question is, which square parts do i need for this gun?
Bolt Carrier of AK47 or AK74?
Trigger Group of AK47 or AK74?
Front/Rear Sofgt of AK47 or AK74?
e.t.c.
I hope you can help me
These are 100 series rifles, so all of the non-caliber specific parts can be replaced with 74 parts.
Al right, and which are the caliber-specigic Parts?
Barrel and Magazine. Thats it?
Every other square parts are from AK-74? (Bolt carrier e.t.c.)

Hello guys.
I want to buy a POSP 8x42 WD
Now my problem is, i have a Midwest Side-Mount with 1913 Picatinny Rail. I know that usually, you can mount Weaver-Rings on Picatinny. But with this POSP, the Distance between the two Rings is set.
Is it sure that the spacing between the bolts fit on the 1913 picatinny? Because i thought the distance of the grooves is different between Weaver and Picatinny.
The second questions is: Would the POSP fit well and tight on a Picatinny? Because the groove of the Picatinny would be larger than the bolts of the Weaver. There will be some "air" between.
Thank you very much!

Does the CAA Mag-Coupler fit Promags 7.62x39?
And a 2. question:
I have a Midwest Side Mount on my AK-103 and don`t know which scope i should buy.
UTG 3-12x44 or UTG 1-4x24. Which one would you prefer? Do you have pics of the Scope mounted on AK?

Yes, but thats no Problem. Its still possible to aim
I know more now.
An SVD mount rail cant be installed on an ak, because its milled in the SVD receiver in original.
But there are universal POSP bottom mounts that will fit on AK and SVD. But sadly, its not aviable here in Switzerland :/
I also heard from russian Soldier in afghan war. They filed away a "stopping pin" on the SVD POSP so they could mount it on their AKs. But i dont want to have a self-made/damaged POSP.
No one here who have mount an SVD POSP in his Saiga?

I have a Saiga M3-Exp-01 and i want to buy a POSP 4x24 scope.
But i dont like the high of the AK POSP when it is mount on an AK. I think it is too high.
The SVD variant of POSP 4x24 is a bit lower.
Is it possible to mount the SVD model on an AK mounting rail?
Can i change the mounting rail on my Saiga with an SVD mounting Rail?
Picture 1 = ugly
Picture 2 = Perfect

i mean this UTG Rail.

Hello everyone
After my Saiga 12, I`ve bought also a Saiga M3-Exp-01 now.
But i have a question.
I think the gastube- and hand protection system is exactly the same like a AK-103 / AK-74M.
Can i use an UTG Quad Rail 7.62x39 on the Saiga M3? Or is this only possible with changing the upper gas tube?

I have an ATI stock
And now i want to buy a Saiga 7.62x39mm.
Here in Switzerland, there are only Saigas with factory-Folding stocks aviable like this (look at the silver button on the left of the stock):
Now my question is: Can i put the ATI Gunstock on a Saiga with this factory-folding Stock?
Because in the uploaded picuture, you see a converted factory-folding Saiga (Look again at the silver button) with an M4-Style gunstock.
Will this also work with an ATI Gunstock?

Its a new Saiga from stock. Never used before. So i think it has 3 Ports?
What should i do?
First start out by unscrewing the plug and checking out the ports. You'll be able to get an idea of how many ports you have. Next you should remove the gas block. You won't know for sure what's going on until that thing comes off.
Actually the first thing you should do is some research on the forum here. I'll try to help out more but the day is getting busy.
I just looked and my Saiga have 4 manufactured Gas Ports
-
You aren't doing anything wrong, sounds like your S-12 is under gassed. Have you checked your gas ports? We're looking for # of ports, their size, if any are obstructed by the gas block, and quiet possibly are they drilled properly. Mine were undersized and two were not completely drilled through.
If it hasn't been worked on I'm not surprised that it doesn't cycle on the birdshot and rubberball. That special sport slug is 3 1/2 dram. It shouldn't have any issues ejecting it. Under gassed S-12's have a tendency to shoot slug and buck just fine.

Today i was shooting my Saiga 12 first time.
I had some problems and need help.
I used Sellier & Bellot Special Sport Slug 2 5/8 in (67,5mm) and the shotgun jammed at each bullet. The empty shell jammed. (30 Bullets were shot. Everyone jammed)
Then i used Sellier&Bellot Birdshot and Sellier & Bellot Rubberball (both in 2 5/8 in (67,5mm) an the gun just didn`t repeat. I had to repeat itself.
With S&B Buckshot 2 3/4 in (70mm) Everything was fine.
Im sure i tried both gas-settings.
Can anyone help me please?
