  1. Slobber?Sure why not. Guys you'll find out over time I'm not easily aggravated or insulted. I don't mind a little ribbing at my expense. Jovial post keeps the forum active and interesting anyway
  2. Hey i get this, I really do and was in no way trying to steal the info I just trust this site more than most so I ask in order to clarify. I know you guys have been around a while and after a while a certain cynicism is to be expected when the same questions pop up over and over. To be fair though I read those threads...so I did have a legitimate question and I wanted to get involved here and the polish job was just the first opportunity I had to get my name and inquiry out there. My next questions will be which end the pellets come out, so take that, lol. Who knos one day I may
  3. i understand you're joking and I appreciate it. But it was a serious question and I believe I have my answer. Thanks But I get it "http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.etymoticdefense.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F08%2FtacticoolAR15.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.etymoticdefense.com%2Fblog%2F2012%2F08%2F28%2Ftactical-tuesday-is-your-gun-this-tacti-cool%2F&h=600&w=523&tbnid=qpNVBJ9RnYf8QM%3A&zoom=1&docid=foHVtGE6y-sA5M&ei=rMkPVIqPKJa-ggSXnoGICg&tbm=isch&client=ms-android-verizon&ved=0CCIQMygCMAI&iact=rc&uact=3&p
  4. Thanks for the responces. I got the settings figured out. Though in the process I realized I may need to either clean the gas ports or reprofile/drill out. That being a last resort, if it ain't broke... I've just read of several horror stories of the ports not lining up properly or when milled at the factory they didn't make a full pass through. Fingers crossed though as it seems to be tip top now.
  5. Well to be fair it was gibberish before I saw it, freaked out about how stupid it made me look and changed it, so I understand the "WTF is he talking about". As I said I was in the middle of several windows and it just shut down so I put it down for the evening not knowing a post went through that sounded like a retard. Conversion is already done, so maybe I can save face there. I have a quad rail strictly to mount a rapid target acquisition item for if or when I need to utilize it for a nighttime intrusion as this weapon is for home defence. Right now it's as bare bones as it can
  6. Hey, I don't mind claiming ignorance in polishing a saiga bolt and carrier. However, I've been a firearm enthusiast for the better part of 20 years and have been gunsmithing for friends, family and word of mouth referrals for as long as I can remember, and made decent side change while doing so. The best part is to have the opportunity to handle and repair some weapons I would otherwise never have a chance to even see. The reason I got that experience is because I researched prior to any project. Sometimes spending more time finding out how to do it right than it actually takes to do
  7. The problem I'm having is twofold. First, yes once you strip the black coating away you can see the imperfections in the metal. It's very noticable. I strive to keep from subtracting as much material as possible from the assembly so I was looking for tips and tricks to smooth it out without going overboard. Two, all I got was 1600 and 2000 sandpaper and it's not doing anything but making me angry. I just wanted to confirm with you guys that going to a lower grit wouldn't screw it up. Thanks for the info all
  8. Something seriously wrong with me phone. Had several windows open and find today that it posted...and posted stuff even I can't understand. It shut off due to update so I assumed it didn't post anything. It did. Some crazy wing ding looking bullshit. Anyway. I wanted to know what the shortest length a barrel could be purchased or cut down to. Thank you
  9. What is the best and most versatile attachment for a saiga, flashlight or laser. I did not notice until today that all my posts got screwed the hell up till just now. Phone shut down because of an update and when I check today not only did it post but it also looks like my phone got handled by a 2 yr old...
  10. I know I know but a want to be active on the forum to keep active with you guys. With the Internet I can find whatever I want but I'd rather get by asking you. My apologies, I will seek answers elsewhere. Again thanks for the info
  11. I installed a 6 position CCS gas plug kit and the first two mags cycled @ setting of 3. Now I see on CCS website that 6 is the low bras (I.e) cheap ammo but today 5 rounds jammed on pos 3 so luck ran out. I mean everyone of them. Silly question should I utilize the 6 position or should I try each setting till it recs properly. Alternately I could reinstall the 2 position plug. All help would be greatly sppreciayed. Thanks
  12. So I've gotten as far as stripping the black coating from the slide and bolt. Now I'm looking for your collective knowledge on how to get it to shine ( I mean it shines now but not like choming it) can someone with experience lend their expertise and give me tips. As always thanks in advance for the advice. 1200 grit sandpaper and finish with 2000 or start with 600 and 800 and work my way up. Pending a generous poster to get to the desired shine...what is the best way to keep it that way. OR, can some or all of you point me to someone who can chrome without breaking the bank.
  13. Please keep in mind I didn't purchase the weapon for the tacti-cool vibe. I thoroughly checked what important items had been taken care of; conversion (properly done) 6 possition gas reg., CCS puck, Knight's Armament foregrip and rail covers, etc. etc. I was looking for a new Mossberg 930 for HP but this was only slightly more, so I got it (with the wife's permission, am I right).
