  1. Yeap...and hes going to try to raise the age to 21. He can go straight to hell if he does.

And...he is getting ready to go against the NRA. Good luck with that...true colors coming out...

The NRA started this with the two stooges telling the BATFE to ban bump-stocks after Vegas. They also kept sucking Trump off every chance they got even though Trump did nothing on gun rights. If my Civil Rights weren't in dire jeopardy I'd be enjoying LaPierre getting spurned by the love of his life on national television. Sadly he is actually the lesser of two evils at this point, which is terrifying.

  2.

    ....nevermind

Come on Patriot, you know we can't just walk away from this! I really appreciated yours and Chile's post! We need to write and call the DC folks and let them know that we vote in every election...

The nevermind was directed at jdeko. (fish and bi-cycles) I will NEVER stop fighting. I took an Oath. Writing and bitching daily. I'm sure I'm on several shit lists by now. I know Casey hates my fucking guts. Damned Lib Socialist career .pol that he is.

Did I say give up? No, I said specifically that I am actively fighting this bullshit. I said that Trump is a lifelong Democrat who, true to history, is not a fan of Civil Rights. I'm saying that I have zero faith in this government, in either party, and that I have no faith in their giving a shit about anything we say or do.

Trump pussied out, the NRA pussied out, Walmart pussied out, more and more Reuplicans are pussying out. The oligarchs are turning on us because the Republicans no we have no choice but to vote for them because Democratic voters are majority in favor of banning everything but [possibly] longbows and muskets.

I honestly believe a 3rd American Revolution is imminent and I'm sickened to have to choose between putting my family's lives at risk as a felon or a fighter, live on my knees, or pull the ripcord and hope praying for forgiveness beforehand is enough for me to go home and not get cast into perdition.

Excuse me for not having faith a bunch of gutless cowards who have sold our rights away countless times even in my politically active lifetime since ~2004~ are suddenly going to stand up to this assault. We're screaming into the void.

  3. Mocking God always comes from people who really do not under stand him.

I pray for Gods guidance when I carry my gun. I pray that if I need to use it that it be done to stop the evil .

I wasn't mocking God, if that was what you were implying. I think It'd be awesome to be able to summon a bear to maul anyone who shit-talks me like Elisha did but that is not very likely. Realistically your chances of God smiting your adversary are not very high is what I'm getting at. Though I've sometimes wished it were an ability I were capable of employing in all honesty.

  4. One of the first guns I ever shot was an LAR-9, I wasn't that impressed by it. Maybe the CRACK of a .223 would appeal to me but I'm happy with the BOOM of my PTR91. Though oddly it seems to have a lot of cycling issues with Tula and Winchester JSP rounds. ZQI seemingly cycled better but I seem to have bad luck with long guns that are supposedly reliable.

  5. Completely LOST in the discussion

The RIGHT to keep and bear arms is NOT a Constitutionally granted right

The right to keep and bear arms is a GOD GIVEN right.

What 'weapons' did the American own in 1776? - THE SAME WEAPONS AS THEN USED BY THE BRITISH ARMY! Including small arms designed for rapid fire (Brown Bess musket) and heavy CREW served weapons (cannon and even privateers -privately owned warships).

Bump stocks, not being a 'weapon' are not protected from Government ban -if they are found to not be useful or safe. However, full auto IS a God given right!

With all due respect, and I mean this more as just trying to expand you thought processes and not a refutation of your beliefs, if you start deciding which firearm components are and are not inherent rights that a human assumes upon birth that is getting down a slippery slope. If you want to rely on a bump-fire stocked AK to defend your life, while that is in my opinion a bad idea, it is no less a JUST idea than my use of my Saiga, my Italian Bren Ten clone, or my PTR91 I plan to put a binary trigger in [if I ever have 700+ dollars and no whole guns I'd rather buy with it]. It's no less just than if someone is relying on a Keltec or Hi-Point to defend their life because that is all they can afford, or a Calico because their big brother passed it down to them when they moved out for college. It's either an absolute right or we start selling off pieces until we're left with nothing but muzzleloaders to defend our houses with.

LaPierre, Cox, and Trump are snakes and I hope they all burn for this.

You 1st. "Let those without sin cast the 1st stone"

I'd think YOU of all people would remember THAT one!

I don't remember ever advertising myself as being all in on the 2nd amendment then immediately calling for bans and restrictions the moment the winds slightly out of my favor. If there is one thing that should be obvious about me it's that I don't mince words, muddy my beliefs, or play the winds in order to be popular. Cox and LaPierre act like they are staunchly pro gun rights but sell us out over and over and over again. Trump is a typical New Yorker, he has his gun because he could pay the cops to give him a permit. The rest of us plebs can just fend for ourselves in his mind.

    The NRA's view:

    How is this selling out?

Which lead to the BATFE issuing a statement wanting to regulate/ban "rate increasing devices". They caught such a humongous amount of shit for that so now they're trying to put out the fires but more and more people know how corrupt they are.

OK, Einstein, just what IS the solution and how are YOU going to fix it?

Awwww...never mind. You can lead a horse to water but sometimes you just have to drown the fucker.

I guess your solution is "well maybe this pound of flesh will satisfy them..." as you bleed out on the floor from the huge chunks of flesh you already sawed off and placed at the gun-control crowds feet. What, you think Pelosi and Feinstein are going to go "Oh my God! 21 as the minimum age and no bump stocks?! This is all we wanted all these years! Long live the NRA!"?

Your "solution" as well as the NRA's and Trump's, is to just keep giving the tyrants a little of what they want because then they'll leave us alone, right? Worked so well with the NFA and Hughes, right?

Wrong again. My position as a Patron member of the NRA is the same as a mule's. I don't budge. The same as Board Member Nugent. Ever. Not one fucking bit. Cold dead hands, as President Heston was fond of saying. See horse analogy above. (used as a teaching aid in this case, but the student was too fucking thick to realize that)

Here's the latest video and petition:

And I'm more concerned with the only two people with any power in the organization, LaPierre and Cox's positions which seem to mirror former mascot- I mean "President" Marion Hammer's. To me the GOA is a much better option for gun rights as they seem to actually stand up for what both of us believe in.

We both seem to agree on principles, seemingly we just disagree if the NRA in its current configuration stands for those principles or not.

  9. I wish there was a solution to mental health in this country as there are 3 mentally unstable transients within walking distance of my house... All of whom have harassed people in the parking lot of my work and the worst that happens to them is maybe they spend a night in the drunk tank. All of them obviously have developmental issues and IQs closer to 50 than 100 but they're left free to just roam around being timebombs. I don't know what the solution could be but it sure would be nice if we had a place to keep the obviously mentally deficient whom cannot even support themselves off the streets and not pestering people just going about there day-to-day lives. I don't know about you but I feel pretty deeply disturbed when I see someone who quite obviously is not observing the same reality as me, and whose thought processes are very evidently alien to that of rational society.

  11. ...Storage Device?

I'm really making it a goal this year to bring home some critters I made dead and to eat them, even if it mean probably having to pay for some guided hunts and/or try desperately to find people who'll mentor me in the ways of hunting successfully.

So in line with this I'm wondering how big of a freezer should someone get to store say 2 processed deer and some mixed pheasants/waterfowl? There is a 9 cubic foot freezer on clearance at a store by my house for 150 but i wonder how much that would hold.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.
