Rifle looks great, and nice job on the mag design. How's it do while shooting? Any rounds jar loose and come out?
There's barely any play after the 15th round is in, just enough slack to insert mag on a closed bolt, never had any drop out even from prone

What adhesive did you use to couple the mags?
No adhesive, theres an internal coupler that I make out of an injected molded thermalpolymer that gets four roll pins through both mag bodies, and then a jb mix on top to fill the gap between the ribs, topped off with an epoxy grit spray and duracoat.

What's up with the magazine in your gun? 0.o
its my own coupled design, im in a high cap ban state. they are 2 15 round tapcos, well 10 round tapcos to be exact with a shortened follower. End result is a 30 round magazine that is the same size as a 30 round but only 15 are fed continuously

these are 2 15rd tapco's coupled end to end. the bond is permanent and irreversible. total capacity is 30 rounds. please note ONLY 15 rounds will feed continuously. same exact size as a standard 30rd mag. if you are interested in a CA 10+10 or NY 7+7 version let me know. price is firm at $60 plus shipping

heres what it boils down down to. No adjustable, telescoping or side-folding stock, no bayonet lug, no flash hider, muzzle break ok, but must be pinned, no magazine over 15 rounds. On sagas 12's no pistol grip of any kind, including thumbhole stocks. All other NFA rules don't apply as NJ does not recognize any

Looks great. Have you taken it to the range and tested that muzzle brake yet? How well does it work?

Wow, putting Harley colors on an AK...seems like tempting fate to attribute a rifle with a reputation for never failing, with, well, Harley Davidson.
But, yeah, no orange on real weapons for me.

Someone want to explain what's up with that magazine? I'm guessing it's (2) 10 rounders to make it look like a 30? Ban state I presume? Looks nice, but I'd definitely prefer it in like a green or tan.

Thanks to some members here for the handguard inspiration, came upon some pictures on Google doing various research. The Chaos HK sights are absolute cowitness with strikefire but only after some medication to the ultimak to bring it up to the same level as the tws rail. Handguard and stock in Harley D Orange and all the rest in REM 870 black

RS Regulate side mounts. No need to change one of the proven parts of the AK system, just add a lightweight sidemount,
+1, tried it, but ultimately went a different route. sometimes the simplest solution is overlooked

just finishing up this project. I ended up using both systems, both rock solid. I modded my ultimak to mount the Chaos bolt on HK sights, as everyone knows the ultimak sits lower than the tws, had to raise the front .28 to have an even co-plane with chaos rear sight. please excuse the unpainted ultimak mod, still waiting on UPS for duracoat

id go with the tws, I like the optic further back.... besides the ultimak is no place to a "budget" optic due to the heat
