  1. It seems that our federal government is now really concerned about ISIS' ability to recruit youth from around the world, including the US. Maybe if we taught out kids to love our country and it's heritage instead of hating and apologizing for it, there would be a lot less concern.

Exactly + - white guilt. This bullshit about crusades and evil white men killing off Indians, enslaving other races is idiotic. Raising kids to hate their country is not the same as scrutinizing actions of .gov.

    Here's some perspective....

That's a problem with all top developed countries. People stop breeding like rabbits and want to raise their kids in some meaningful way, to be better off than their parents.

Unfortunately, the other part of it, productive members of society are getting taxed to death, while leaches are completely provided for.

Idiocracy the movie, pretty much spelled it out.

  2. Saigas has been sold in US for a while and volume was pretty decent too. It's not like it's a rare collectible, limited run piece. But no more is coming, that's for sure. There is the ban and also RF army placed in order for 70k new rifles which would keep them busy for a while in the domestic market.

  3. Like this guy.He totally jumped on this shit and it has nothing to do with the OP.

I'm not saying I'm right about everything. In fact, I'm a very opinionated asshole. I like to listen to opposing opinions and ideas but not when it's third party propaganda cut and paste.

whoa, posting a reply is somehow "totally jumping on this shit"? Is there some other, a more subtle way to react to the post? May be all threads should be devoid of replies all together?

The OP deals with propaganda on forums, methods and techniques, that's pretty relevant, imho. I haven't seen any of this happening here, but now to think of it, I think that you must be a KGB member 021.gif  Paranoia on! (Also  used the same English language as the article is written in, so I must be a CIA spy ... or make it NSA, that sounds even more awesome)

  4. general rules for disinformation and propaganda were established long time ago and you can see them used in other places quiet a lot. Ukraine conflict offers some really good examples, especially since Putin's "web team" has been working overtime and is very effective. They also have distinct agenda, so it's fairly easy to spot them.

"Big lie" - the whole story that Uki x-premier, who is a practicing jew (like he actually goes to synagogue with his family) is a uniform wearing Nazi is a big lie, totally absurd, yet it took root. Bigger lies are easier to believe if enough people pass it on.

Militaryphotos.net - also a great example. I don't know who owns that site, it's an English speaking site but 30% traffic comes from Russia. Try posting anti-Putin opinions and see your account banned without explanation.

  5. That's Fort, they are made in Ukraine by the license from Israel and come in 556 as well as 5.45 calibers

Yuriy Lutsenko, then head of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, announced on October 1, 2008 that Israel Weapon Industries and the Ukrainian research and production company RPC Fort will jointly manufacture the Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle, that will enter service with special Ukrainian military and police special units.[61][62] RPC Fort had displayed working samples of Tavors chambered to take 5.45×39mm ammo with Milkor 40mm UBGL grenade launchers to showcase to Ukrainian security forces officers as a means of convincing them to buy Ukrainian-made Tavors for Special forces units.[63]

  6. I'm all for protecting people but it kind of exposes Barry's lies that one of the most Islamic of countries (I think 100% of muslems) is not safe??? This can not be right, Islam is the religion of peace, so a country with 100% muslems must be the most peaceful of all countries, right? How can it be? Barry ibn Soetoro had many islamic advisers in the white house, are they not as peaceful as well?

  7. Thanks for your input. How do you feel about the european commission aka the european union?

I don't like it personally, you got a family where some are earners and some are slackers, feeding from the same checking account.

I think that Ukraine should self-determine with whom they want to trade on an open market and not be bound by some economic treaty creating exclusive/ convoluted schemes that forces to trade with Russia only in exchange for favorable gas credits. I'm for Ukrainians to be able to make their choice.

DingleBarry will do nothing to help Ukraine.

    ...it's "after the election"

I don't know what deal Barry has with Russians, because they have done nothing but put sticks into US spokes, undermining US interests (however misguided) at every turn.

US, Russia, China are major arms traders. Russia has a lot of former cold war allies that they still support both openly and covertly by providing arms and guidance. Putin is openly anti-West, anti-US. Meanwhile the whole "reset" with Russia is total bullshit. I am not advocating war, but for f-s sake we know that SA paid Barry's Harvard tuition and he got a whole lot of "muslim advisors" around him, but WTF he needs to get in bed with Putin?

Holy shit! Have you been over there lately? I was there last May. That port has been wanted by Nato for many, many years and will not be given up. Our propaganda was a million times worse as there were operatives in the area who paid people to protest and start shit with the kiddos on the western side of the state. The protesters are about like our uber liberal kids in college here. Did you happen to notice Biden's son is working for Burisma oil now?

I was eating at McDonalds on Maidan few months before unrests in 2013, I have relatives in Kiev and in other parts of Ukraine and Russia, some of them retired and some active military. As an x-soviet, I know what propaganda is and I talk to some relatives on weekly basis.

Western Ukraine is the state of its own, even in the glorious Soviet days people hated Moskovite shit. No matter how many people they killed there, how many deported and how many tortured in Gulag's. Ask me how I know. Western Ukraine will always resist and will never want to be "brothers" with Moskovites.

Keep in mind the difference of Russian and Moscovite, because nothing good for Ukraine ever came from Moscow.

I had seen changes in Ukraine over the years since 1991 and I can see younger people as the driving force without nostalgia for Soviet times and who do not understand why they need to hate West. Ukraine was first to remove visas for traveling Americans while Russia is still the same Soviet Union where your laggage has to go through customs in order to LEAVE the country.

Western companies are always on a lookout for profits and connections, no doubt about that. What Putin offers from the other side is pure Zombie Soviet Union with puppet states like Belorussia and Kazhakstan and others.

Look at Baltic states. They are doing OK.

  9. If you guys really buy this propaganda about Ukrainians kidnapping BOMZh (homeless) and dressing them up as Russian soldier, you'd love this site:

    http://lostivan.com/

Real Russians with links to their accounts, getting suckered or sent to Ukraine and with photos of the same people dispatched or maimed later.

Politics aside, it's a shame and travesty to send soldiers to fight clandestine wars then quietly bury them at dawn with least noise of publicity. To threaten their mothers with loss of benefits to keep up the lies and propaganda. Putin will burn in hell for this.

...IF it was reported. Let's hope it wasn't a nuke. Putin's scary enough as it is!

If you think the Ukrainian gov is somehow better or different youre sadly mistaken. The only real difference between the two are the name. Same group of people, same religion, same mentality. The last Ukrainian president was just as democratic as the one before and the one after. If they want to be in the EU or part of NATO its only because it benefits them personally. Someone somewhere is getting a payoff. And if you think they are so good read about the new gov kidnapping people, usually homeless and drunks of the streets of kiev so they can dress them in Russian military clothes and pass them off as soldiers in a prisoner exchanges.

Wow, just wow. You think that Yanuk (Putin's fellator puppet just like puppet's in other former republic) is the same as new .gov? I don't think that new .gov are angels, but different.

Russia's first response was to label interrim head of state Yatsenyuk as a nazi, spreading 'shopped photos of him in SS uniform etc. He is f-ing Jewish for Abraham's sake! Russia waged an excellent propaganda campaign both on the web and in press.

With borders opening up, many younger people don't want to live in the commie shithole that Russia is to this day. West isn't perfect, but miles freer that Putin's Russia.

Sorry Obama and Biden, the democrats will never get the Ukraine for it's virgin oil fields. You will never frack them. Your son was sent over by a huge corporatoion Biden, that corporation is now impotent.

Sorry NATO, Russia would rater launch every nuke it has before giving you their naval port in the Ukraine.

Sorry Germay and France, you will not be able to rape the Ukraine like you did to other small European (communist) Unions in order to pay for your disgusting welfare state.

Sorry to past members of the once great CIA, your leadership has been infiltrated by communists and you are now impotent because of your political agenda. You really fucked up over there.

Barry doesn't even know what Ukraine is and US was completely lost on how to deal with unrests in 2013. People are sick and tired of corruption and commie bullshit pushed over KGB Putin and his cronies to the rest of the region.

US isn't even close to its former glory of the cold war and Barry is less 1% of any former president in the 20th century, probably less. The hole idea that Barry contemplates some complicated deals on conquest of Ukraine makes me laugh.

Russia would not launch every nuke. Their sorry ass economy is based on oil that's tanking. Like over 50% of their economy is oil based, because that's all those drunks are capable of, much like camelhumpers of Arabia, selling shit under their feet.

France and Germany are hooked on gas, like 10-20% of it coming from Russia. They won't say much.

  11. True, the source isn't the greatest, but it looks like the lid's firmly on this. There are several versions of what happened. A simple search will turn up at least three on the 1st page alone.

A LOT of them call it conventional. ....but with BRIGHT, WHITE flash?

It may be a standard non-nuke munition, but it sure looked like about a 5 or 10 kiloton nuclear blast filmed from ~8 miles away, according to the time it took for the sound to reach the camera.

It walks like a duck. It sounds like a duck....

those grad rockets that's been popular on both sides, the spec on it, 150#s of solid rocket engine and 50# of tnt charge. Typical load is 40 rockets. So for one complect it's already 6000 of solid rocket fuel and 2000 #s (1000 or 1 kilo tonne of TNT) Direct hit into it from another grad rocket and boom, instant detonation.

Ukis may have some intelligence about a large cache of these flowing from mother russia, may be rebels got a large shipment of "humanitarian aid" and parked it in one place.

these have been used a lot and with an offensive stirring up, I don't see it unusual to have them in one place, easily one small a-bomb worth (those were really small bombs)

There was a vid from Rus news yesterday, it showed the crater, it's about 100 meters (yards) x 100 meter, trees around snapped and charred.

There are also many photos and vids of zone strikes where only few grad rockets hit. Everything just burns, from flesh to metal, literally just skeletons left of people. 100s of rockets with solid fuel engines going off in an instant, yes, very big boom.

yet another 60's technology killing people efficiently, today.

Also camera recording at night will play tricks with image brightness adjustment and will pick up infrared differently. What camera records is not what eye typically sees.

  12. Yeah, curious about that - and even moreso, where you found an 80% receiver.

If I remember correctly, ATF made an odd ruling on the S-12, like the front trunnion is the receiver or something.

I remember that I saw something about it, that was 4 years ago and actual letter was never posted. Most de-milled AK kits carry serial on the trunnion and of course they have been around for over a decade. Functionally, S12 receiver is practically identical to AK receivers.

The only thing I can think of is PPSh trunnion, but is drastic different in function.

Out of curiosity, are you the same "boris" who did the bearpup trilogy, the Sears RPG7, etc?

    yes.

  13. the holes on front trunnion are almost exactly 3/16. I believe that originals were 4.5mm, but 3/16 is 4.7mm By the time you have front trunnion in the receiver and sizing the holes, 3/16 would work well. Imperial rivets are dirt cheap compared to metric. Two long 3/16 rivets is basically all you really need for the front.

The middle block that uses rivets, those rivets are crazy tough to get out, so better approach is to just weld it in with a plug-weld technique, where you have a hole over the part, something less than 1/4 and you tap a welder enough to grab them.

Rear trunnion is whatever you want it to be, it could be regular AK trunnion with a fixed stock or you can opt for something more exotic and just drill holes, get rivets to match.

In this regard, you don't really need an AK rivet set.

In terms of jigs, you don't really need any jigs. Fitting trunnion into the receiver takes patience. The rails extend the line of the lugs and the truth is, you can get away with just eyeballing it, but you should measure the line and make sure that rails are square inside etc. Post your progress!

  14. Making a good AK on individual bases is artisanship. Doing it on larger manufacturing scale and be successful is completely different matter. That's the "secret sauce"

One thing that people don't realize is how much effort was actually put into developing guns during the Soviet era. Soviets sponsored studies for ergonomics and finish on a scale that no American manufacturer could ever dream about, because .gov owned everything and money was not an issue, something that no private company can really have. So yes, I really doubt that some guys with a bunch paper in their hand are going to crank out on the same level.

  15.

    this is idiotic

#1, it's not Izhmash doing AKs, it's an American company RWC who is doing it, and they have 0 connection to actual AK birthplace:

"We are not permitted to pick up the phone and to talk to them," said Thomas McCrossin, CEO of RWC, which owns the Kalashnikov USA brand. "We were forced to stop doing business with them because of the sanctions."

There is no real link, they can not bring consultants from Izzy, they can not use any of their tech know how or processes. What is the f-ing point? This is basically a new company trying to make AKs.

    #2, ugh , copyrights

RWC, based in Tullytown, Pa., has the rights to the AK-47 Kalashnikov brand of guns, which has been produced in the Soviet Union after World War II.

Before you capitalists jump onto this, AK-47 is in public domain. Soviet Union did not have a concept of intellectual property or copyright. Today, new Russian capitalists are trying to cash in on shit that no one actually owns, i.e. Soviet era cartoons, books, scientific works. They are full of shit and they can FOAD before I pay them a fucking copeck.

I don't know what RWC has paid to AK concern if anything for the "rights" but I openly piss on their "ownership"

For what its worth the original plan between RWC and Kalashnikov was to setup a factory in the US. If that is so then it would have a leg up in the production as they could have plans and technical resources not previously available.. Those plans existed long before the sanctions and the information and resources could have already been exchanged.

I'm cautiously optimistic.. Its not like building an AK is impossible, even the century arms manufactured guns are decent as of late. The Russian build was nothing special.

Read #1, they haven't exchanged anything yet, they were just a US distributor, a sales person.

This is like a Ferrari salesman trying to open a Ferarri factory in US. Good luck.

Setting up a factory takes a considerable effort that they won't be able to match. Read up on Soviet factories moving during WWII. Even in those circumstances, it takes a heck of an effort and people to do it right. I can tell you right off the bat, these monkeys are going to be next Century.
