I have a son who is 16 , he is a good boy smart advanced classes, and a crack shot . I have watched him kill a deer every year since he was 7. He is 6ft1 235 Pounds , and a football player starts on the line and just about plays the whole game . He told me if he heard gunfire he was not going to huddle in a corner and wait to be shot , he said and I quote . He was going to wait beside the door and the 1st one thru was going to get hit with something hard whatever he could find , and then he would have his gun and nobody else was coming in that room . I have a lot of work to do . I would like to convert all of them but I cant find anyone here in central Ky to help me with it. Saigas are not very popular here . everybody is AR or Wasr . I really don't want to ruin one from stupidity.i recently got a 308 Saiga and having been acquiring 7.62 x 51 mke for 10.60 a box from wally world . I Have decided to jump thru some hoops to try to prove I actually own 1 or 2 Saiga's . I hope I can pass the smell test now as I bought when Saiga's were cheaper. I bought 4 to put up for my two sons . The other's I bought to enjoy most of mine are EEA Corp from COCOA FL. I am not a serious shooter as I am lucky to get to go to the back of the farm and shoot once a month. I hope this stops some of the tar and feathering the next time I post on here , so here is my question as I am a new guy on this board. I have come up with a new way to save a little more money. I put an d on craigslist to buy wally world gift cards for 70 cents on the dollar. I picked up a 200.00 card today for 140.00 . I make them buy the ammo to make sure the card works , . I pay the tax it comes to 212.00 with tax . I have a 152.00 in 400 rounds of ammo which comes out to 38 cents a round. a word of warning find out what the pawnshops in your area are paying and offer a little bit more its after Christmas and there a lot of gift cards available . FYI it works the same for gas too. P.S. MAKE SURE U MAKE THEM GO THRU THE LINE SO U DONT BUY A CARD WITH A SECURITY HOLD ON IT . THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMMERS BUT USUALLY IF THEY GO THRU THE LINE YOU DONT GET BEAT.

I am confused as hell. I would think I was on the ar15 board promoting Saigas . I just came to meet new people that liked Saigas . I am trading 4 boxes of 500 rounds of 22lr tomorrow for 1000 rounds of mixed 7.62 x 39 . that's 2 for 1 no cash is changing hands. I enjoy my rifles and once again I do apologize if I have rubbed anyone the wrong way. I will post a pic and a new thread sometime this weekjust to show them in the boxes. I do not use a recoil buffer. Go to Saiga recoil buffers on you tube I watched the video and did not like what I saw. I WOULD send pics but I have a dumb phone no camera . I don't know what you are [calling it as you see it] I purchased everything before 2008 . I bought a box of 22lr and a box of Federal 9 just about every week at WALLY WORLD prior to the incident in 2012 . people were ringing my phone of the hook for 22lr. Several times I traded round for round for 9mm as there was none in ky . TULA NEVER WENT OFF THE SHELVES . I traded 1 box of 22 500 plus round boxes for 200 rounds of Chinese surplus several times . I don't know what it reeks of . Here in KY FTF transactions are legal , OR MAYBE YOU JUST DONT BELIEVE A PERSON COULD AQUIRE 6 SAIGAS AS I ACTUALLY HAVE OR WHAT YOU BELIEVE OR DONT . I think I may have an addiction and need help, before the tragic boating accident I managed to buy

6 Saigas in 7.62 x 39 new in the box for an average of 350.00 a piece . I didn't get them all at once just here in Ky nobody ever looks at them up at the gun stores . I fully convereted 2 of them and they run fine the other 4 are or were before the accident still in the box. I then started acquiring a little ammo for them GOLDEN TIGER and some of the Hornady steel case plus various other brands. In the great panic I managed to trade 9 mm round for round and some 22lr 3 rounds to 1 round . I picked up a Saiga 12 converted used with the works used at a pawn shop and 10 SGM 10 round mags for 360.00 out the door . I just found a used Saiga in 308 with 5 SGM mags an 300 rounds of Remington ammo and a 3 x9 Nikon scope 45 mins away for 600.00 and I figure ammo is worth 180 at 60 cents a round 140.00 for scope total 320.00 that's 280.00 for the gun somebody talk me out of it please!

My wally worlds are full of zq1 ammo for 9.97 a box .10.60 for 20 rounds of 147gr m 80 ball . I was wondering if any of you have tried this stuff as I have a new 308 Saiga and she is a hungry bitch I know she is an ammo slut as she has run everthing I put thru her. It comes out to 53 cents a round which is the same price as Tula and there is a boatload of it on the shelves nobody is buying it . My question is have you used this in your Saiga and have you tried it in bolt actions ? I love Hornady but cant afford to stock 2000 rounds to have something to shoot. Your imput please!

I own an old stainless Ruger in 270 and under 300 yards with Hornady 130 grains sst its katy bar the door , but if I was going to buy a new one it would be a Savage . I have a friend that works at Buds gun shop and all he owns are Savages and he does a lot of predator hunting. I shot his in 243 and the groups touch at 200 yards . They shoot pretty nice. I Don't think I would but a Remington they are owned by Cerebus group . I would also say look at a Howa with a houge stock my son shoots one in 308 with hornady 150 grain sst bullets and it is a nail driver they make weatherby and you can get one for around 500 for a 300 win mag , but they are not stainless but they are nice bolt guns very accurate and the houge stock feels good.
