I like the general concept of the echo93 sling mount. My concern is with the sling and clamp getting in the way of the shooting hand. I would like to see the mount wrap around/up the side of the receiver a bit, to put the sling clamp higher and out of the way of the shooting hand.

Thanks all, for the helpful info. I need to finish up 2 other projects, Then I will convert it. I was looking at the CSS pistol grip kit and was steered away from the css trigger guard. I would prefer a more traditional style kit. Any recommendations/suggestions. Along with that... a more traditional kit would call for rivets and I am not so equipped. Are there any screw in options that would allow classic trigger guard and pistol grip mount? Last question (for now).... is the saiga 12 compatible with "standard" ak furniture a la Zuhkov?
