  1. My hipoint 9mm works fine considering I have never taken it apart to clean it- just swabbed out as much of it as I could after using it. Dont' pay too much for the carbine.
  2. That is SO frikin' cool! I need to gets me one a' those! Hopefully it works ok on the 762. I have some free time.....
  3. Yep, ya just GOTTA do something more with it than how it comes out of the box......
  4. I got a reciever cover scope mount and a 3-9x40 (ya know, the 29$ one at the 'Mart) scope. It is nice, everything fit on the rifle fine, but it won't get on the damn paper. When the adjustment screws are cranked as much as they are going to go and it still doesn't hit the target there is obviously something amiss with another aspect of the instalation. Any good scope links etc? Thanks all
  5. I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you. 212$?!?!?!? 'Round these parts the rifles alone are 225 and they can't keep them on the shelves. And a case and side mount scope nonetheless! You should get cigars that say ITS A SAIGA- that is a great deal.
  6. I'm sure I'm not the first to do this....
  7. Delete this one Look at the other one.
  8. Very nice. So then I can only assume you have names for them all?
  9. Since I use Wolf ammo I clean it after every trip to the range. OK OK, not just because I use Wolf ammo, that is just a lame excuse for being gun nutty. But my oh my! There are lots of parts to clean on those things. Too bad Ruger doesn't make a P series 7.62 rifle.
  10. SHEESH! Dem's some uglee little buggers! The picture of the one with horns was just too disturbing to post. Perhaps I will just put a motif that is suggestive of Old World hunting onthe sling instead of that little lad.
  11. Bv No seriously, there is really not enough room down there for a weapon AND my butt. Additionally, the dash area of my truck is a little too cramped to make any kind of attachment. That, and I just prefer to have it on me as much as I can. Oh yeah, and after getting scolded at the range I'm gonna make one that points down instead of back. Good. Another reason to make holsters!!!!!!
  12. Thanks mate. After 9 hours in the car the holster gets an A- whereas the rig gets a C. Back to the drawing board.... At least it's not too much problem to remove the rivets from the strap and keep the holster. Oh yeah. Fly fishing in the dark in the Colorado, while a sect of the sport reserved for the die hard, is actually not as productive as it would seem at first. But the drive was nice.
  13. Finally got a chance to make a side hangin' holster to wear in the car. ( I love my state....) For the first one of these I have ever made it came out nice. I like what the combo of olive oil and armour all did to the finish. It's made of veg tan and brown cow that didn't make the cut to become a couch, so total material cost was like three bucks... It hangs nice and can be worn with shorts because it is always really hot here, and well, I am just too damn fat for nice pants. Ok, I'm done gloating. Now to take it fishin'
  14. Wait. I take it back. These things were meant to wound people. Killing them does not depleat the resources of the forces of evil as quickly.
  15. On reason the 762 39 doesn't have the "kick" you desire is because an AK reciever isn't supposed to. You still have 1500ish lbs of force from the bullet, which is like three to five times that of popular handgun forces. If I turn the gas off on my SKS a 762 39 has a totally different feel to it-too much kick in fact, to be accurate while running from tanks and shooting the forces of evil. Also, 1500ish lbs of force is plenty to take care of most needs. The type of projectile is what is important. Remember, these things were designed to kill people, not elk or bears. You wanna 'off some e
