C Products is supposed to be introducing a Mini-14 mag this summer and is PMI talking about resuming production. If so, there'll be plenty of quality Mini-14 mags available.
So I guess we can all still confidently say that there will be great demand for such an item.

I'm still out of the loop----what difference do the dimples make?
From the little I know so far, I believe they help make a firmer fit for hi-cap mags.
Which, if it's the case that Saiga's usually don't have them, it would seem to me to be a big negative when comparing one to say another AK model like a SAR or WASR.
That it? I mean, I hear that the dimpled x39's can accept standard AK-47 mags.....just wondering this meant the dimpled .223s can accept the '74 5.45 mags.

My arsenal will be revealed when the SHTF.

Confiscation of Registered Guns Begins in Illinois
http://www.kc3.com/news/chicago_confiscation.htm
Chicago Anti Gun Enforcement (CAGE) unit. This elite squad, operated jointly by the Illinois State Police, the Chicago Police Department, and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, supposedly exists to identify illegal gunrunners. However, information gained by the ISRA makes it clear that the CAGE unit is targeting law-abiding citizens, not criminal gunrunners.
The Chicago Police Department and the Illinois State Police have teamed up to make good on Mayor Daley's pledge that, if it were up to him, nobody would have a gun. Daley and his elite "CAGE" unit are apparently taking advantage of gun privacy loopholes to pinpoint certain individuals for inclusion in the confiscation program.
The ISRA is following up on leads in one case that has disturbing implications. An elderly first-generation Chicago resident was recently paid a visit by an Illinois State Police trooper. After asking to come inside the man's home, the trooper asked if the man owned a gun - to which he replied yes. The trooper then directed the individual to surrender the firearm. The man complied with the officer's demand and the trooper left with the gun. And the story gets better...
The gun in question was purchased legally by the man in the 1970s shortly after he became a U.S. citizen. When Chicago's infamous gun registration scheme went into effect in the early 1980s, the man registered the firearm as per the requirement. However, over the years, the fellow apparently forgot to re-register the firearm, and forgot to renew his Illinois FOID Card.
So...what does this all mean?
In the last edition of The Illinois Shooter, we reported on the activities of a shady taskforce known as the Chicago Anti Gun Enforcement (CAGE) unit.
Thanks to a ruling by a liberal federal judge, the CAGE unit now has the name of every single person in the United States who, since 1992, lawfully purchased more than one handgun in the period of a week. The CAGE unit also has all the makes, models and serial numbers of those guns. In essence, the Chicago Police Department is now registering guns and gun owners nationwide.
The ISRA has also learned that the CAGE unit has compiled a list of families where more than one person in that family holds a FOID card. Acting on that information, the CAGE unit is now contacting gun shops where those families have shopped, and is illegally registering all guns purchased by those families.
Now, it appears that the CAGE unit is scrubbing Chicago's gun registration list against the list of FOID card holders. Indications are that folks who have let their registrations and FOIDs lapse will have their guns confiscated. We have to wonder how long it will be until state troopers show up at the doors to confiscate the guns of non-Chicago residents who have let their FOIDs expire.
More later as this story develops.

Didn't think a Saiga .223 came stock with a functional bayonet lug.

I miss the $.87 / gallon gas we had in Milwaukee back in the late 90s.

It's nice to know that the media quiets down when crimes are committed by Muslims. Just look at the Beltway Sniper, when the press thought it was a white supremacist they played up the incidents but when they found out that it was a black homosexual Muslim who did it they tried to bury that under the rug. Montgomery County Maryland inept anti white police chief at the time Charles Moose was looking for a white GM minivan and said "we found the gun" when the black Muslim homosexual murderer was caught (no thanks to him).
We infidels are open targets for Murderous Muslims who murder people for their false allah.
Imagine what terrorism may happen with another Clinton presidency while G-d fearing infidels are disarmed and FFL dealers are put out of business.
We'll probably see cars run off the road by Muslim truck drivers here in the US as they do in Israel. They'll probably cause commuter train wrecks by placing gasoline trucks on the rails. The 2005 train wreck in southern Israel was caused by an Arab leaving the truck on the rails before the train arrived.
Why'd you edit the word 'God'?

HB 869 would require current owners of such firearms to register their firearms with the State Police, obtain and renew a license annually to keep them, restrict how and where they may be used or transported, and allow the State Police to inspect private homes for compliance.
WTF is this shit? Inspect homes for compliance? Fuck that! 3:00 AM there's a knock at your door, "we need to check your guns."
Then they'll be checking my gun from the business end.
Facism is right! Take things like this and the inevitable(so far) takeover by Muslims, and we're royally F*cked.

Who cares? Go for it!

Been surfing deep into the forum's depths to find out information regarding this tantalizing tidbit.
Has anyone gotten anymore updated information on the validity of these stock guns feeding the AK magazine reliably? I'm just curious as it is a fascinating topic.
-
if you use the weapon effectively, you dont need more than a couple of mags to sort any situation. you can always reload them with more ammo later.
I see.
-
I already have 2x 30rd. Surfires, plus the factory 10. How many more would you guys think is adequate? Mind you, I also have an SKS(should trade for one that accepts AK magazines), so it's not like I'd HAVE to rely strictly on the Saiga.....but I would like to.
I also have 4 magazines for my Glock, if that means anything.
-
Even at $20, they're STILL a better deal than the Surefires.
I still might get me that mod.....or just dump the .223 and go for the x39 Saiga, drop in a dinzag guide, and feast voraciously upon the AK-47 mags out there!

I agree with 100% of my Pure American Blood.
This happens, and all Hell will break loose upon the Muslim community.
No offense to all the Rednecks here, Southern or Northern, but I'm 75% German, and if anyone knows how to deal with people, it's the Germans.

Everybody has the right to see what these idiots are out doing.
I'm grateful that it was left open for as long as it has been, but to snuff out a topic that should very much be seen in order to educate those who do not see what these moonbats are doing around the country just because it makes some very uneasy(to say the least) is reckless, in my opinion.
People need to see this stuff happening to understand who the enemy is.

Humm... The way I learned it was OOH-RAH!
Respectfully,
God Bless & SEMPER FI!
Well, that's because my brother's in the Army, not the Marines.
I say it how my family is associated with it.

I think you can add one thing to that:
HOO-AH!

Isn't this what happens when the DA's of the country fail to do their jobs correctly?
could it be?...real enforcement?
in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!

Being a former Milwaukee resident for 27 years(In Racine now), I can see the validation of the city's claim.
However, it comes with cynicism. These gun seizures also come from the so-called "Gun Buy-Back" Program, which, in unto itself, was a decent program which its heart in the right place(give $160 for every gun brought in), but, in my view, all it did was give money back to people to buy newer guns.
One of the revolvers square in the middle of one picture was worth an easy $550, as my Father pointed out.
