  1. Has anybody either ordered or had a chance to see the Tromix R01 conversion built on the .223 frame? From the Tromix site, it has: basic Tromix conversion plus, HK sights, ventilated hand-guard, 14.5" barrel, and permanently mounted phantom flash hider. The only thing I'm not too sure about is the cutting down of the barrel to 14.5" - what do you gain by doing this - is it just a more convenient size for smaller spaces?
  2. Would the Saiga .223 be a much better choice if using steel or laquered Wolf ammo than an AR would be? Most people say that the AK is able to withstand the usage of bad ammo for a much longer time, and just wanted to check if that carries on with the .223 Saiga models.
  3. The gun looks really nice with the wood. (Edited to add I saw your post about the changes to the trigger group to make it compliant and to use the high-cap mags). I've sent an email to BRG3 with further questions.
  4. RangerM9 - by chance do you have any pictures of what your gun looks like, as it sounds exactly as what I'd want to do (the looks of the 308 w/ the wood but firing the .223).
  5. I've seen a lot of talk about coversions, and it seems like most people go ahead and do so. But if I just want to have a rifle without a handgun grip and using the stock Saiga magazines, couldn't I just leave it alone?
  6. OK.....1st post newbie screwup....please delete.
