  1. Hello

I have a pair of them, both fitted with Lasermax's and Crossbreed Mini-Tucks. The DA trigger pull is similar to the LCP's, read: it sucks.

These things are nearly the same profile as my Ruger SR9-C which has a very nice pull, especially compared to the LC9, so I'm not certain what the thinking was there.

I realize it is designed as some "quasi-safety" device, but they seem to have gotten around it with the SR9-C and I don't feel any less safe with it.

I've never had any feeding issues with either of mine (one is the wife's) after approx. 200 rounds apiece. Various range-quality FMJ stuff, with a box of Gold-Dot's each just to male sure they feed, too. Other than the loooong trigger pull, they are pretty accurate, and they have truly usable sights. Truly nice carry guns, the Mini-Tuck has them just disappear.,

I got mine when they first came out, I was on a waiting list to get 'em.

They serve their intended purpose well. They aren't range guns. My wife hates to shoot hers, but she likes to carry it, if she feels she needs to carry.

    JMHO....

I just looked at one of these today for my carry. In your opinion, should I keep looking?

  2. Clarification here. My first grandson, Jayson, was born 2 years ago just before Mother's Day. He's my middle son's child. My second grandson, Max, was born 2 years ago just before Father's Day. He's my oldest son's boy. The middle one just gave me my first granddaughter, Katelyn, last December 1st. Actually got to be in the delivery room for that one! Love them all so much.

And yes, GOB, I've heard you say that before and now I'll tell everyone that!

  3. I'm pretty much a 'you leave me alone, I'll leave you alone' kinda person. Blood suckers like skeeters and ticks don't count nor do flies. But the one thing I cannot and will not tolerate are spickets. I HATE those things!

Hehehe Spider + Cricket = Spicket :lolol:

Yep, the all too common Cave Cricket. We have them anywhere it's dark and damp here. Hell if I can feed them to the Jaws he won't ever need to eat store bought food again..lol.

You know what's missing from that description? They can jump any direction they want no matter which way they are facing!! Creepy!!! :killer:

  4. Ok so a while back my aunt had been diognosed with breast cancer. And as her bills piled up all of our family helped out. I had Been making paracord braclets and things like that and sellin them well I started making pink ones. And a portion of my sales goes to her and breast cancer recearch. At my daily Job I wear 2 paracord bracelets. One hot pink and rose pink the outer rose pink and white. But it seems lately I've been getting alot of crap over the color it seems alot of people assume your gay if you are wearing something pink. I do service work at gas stations all over my state so I see alot of people in a day. And I would say over half of the people are pretty rude about what I'm wearing on my wrist. I have even had one person come up to me anr say you are going to burn in hell for the way I live my life and that god hates gays. My reply was I don't wear this because I gay but as some one who knows what god thinks or feels should know not to judge I wear it for breast cancer awareness. She just walked away mad. So I just was curios if wearing pink is that big of a deal to some people ?

I might have said something like thank you for your concern for my eternal soul. I pray that you have a very close relationship with the reason I'm wearing these pink bands. (I wouldn't really pray for that. I'd more than likely pray for HER soul).

  5. Finger crossed for everyone in her path.

My mom has been calling me a lot lately, checking up from NY (do mother's ever stop worrying? lol). Thing is, the latest radars show where I live (Myrtle) just on the fringe, not even in the direct path anymore. NY seemingly has more to worry about than my girl and I do here in SC!

Since this whole thing came about, her anticipated path has changed every day. So let's all hope it continues to change, and she doesn't even make landfall. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Ah, that would be a negative!

  6. Replying as a woman here. I think there are uses for less than lethal. I know the distance I am comfortable with being from a perp from me with a loaded firearm. If they are close, and I have pepper spray, I think my chances of survival are better. Now...if the shit is far enough away, no way he will get close enough to do me harm w/o a body bag being involved....

  7. Not sure if this has been discussed or not. The time I was most scared was when I was on my way to work one day. I had just passed a coworker turning on to 42. I smiled and waved. By the time I got to the bottom of the hill, I had pulled over and signaled her to pull over too. My ex (not at the time) had just called and told me my 2 oldest boys had rolled their truck on the way to work. She said all the blood had drained from my face and I looked like a ghost. Andy told me they said they were ok but being a mom, it scared the ever living CRAP out of me. I realized something that day. You can cry and you can drive really fast but you can't do both at the same time! I chose driving really fast. Good ending. They were fine. Spent half the day in the ER but they were both fine. Truck not so lucky!

  8. Hey have any of you guys had much experience with those remote entry and pre-start devices you install on cars to control them from a distance? We bought Racegal a new (pre-owned) car and found that it has one installed, but we have no remote for it. I see that some are controlled by cell phones and even land lines, and can be operated from anywhere. This one I believe is causing some issues with the car not starting sometimes.... like today of course since we were trying to take the damn thing to DMV to get the tag and registration transferred.... :killer:

This is really bothering me. I love this car and it's done well until now. Figuring I prolly need to just get ride of remote stuff altogether.

  9. Pretty sad and at the same time hard to envision a real plan of escape. Except of course heading the early warnings and fleeing to higher ground.

When I was a kid I worked for a Civil Defense/ Volunteer Rescue Squad. When we had a Hurricain off the coast of SC we spent a lot of time going to visit people out on the Barrier Islands during the early parts of a strom. Many would laugh and tell how many Hurricanes that they had survived by just sitting them out and that they lived in "Hurricane Proof" homes.

I would try to tell them that nothing was proof against the walls of water that some times the storms push up. Katrina made believers out of a lot of them...

I honestly feel very little sympathy for people in those situations. They asked for it, they got it.
