Well, unfortunately, it is cancer. But we have a good game plan set up with the Drs. at the UNC Cancer Hospital. His doctor made me feel much better and have much hope for a good outcome. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Shannon is busy letting his family know but will tell you however much info as he cares to later.

All thoughts and prayers are most welcome.

Awesome shirt, I love it!
My problem with shirts/hats like that (from concerts or whatnot) are that thay are usually made in L and XL sizes. Never are there fitted shirts for girls in small sizes.
Fine... you all like to see your girls wearing your big oversized shirts... we can take a hint.
I guess I'll pass on the shirt because IF there were one, Eric would buy one, then I'd just wear his
Well see now, this is where we need to use our voices. If these vendors don't sell smaller sizes, write them and tell them you would have bought one of their shirts if only they came in smaller sizes........
We need to let them know women are here and we're here to stay!

I can ride a bike.....
Riding is fun but flying is way better.
Even if you're 'flying' over the handle bars?

Major congrats Mike! Sounds like a good reason to celebrate......

Why not lock and load, leave the front door hanging wide open, and put Texas' "Castle laws" to the test?
Just joking.
I took my .223 to the range and watched my husband and his friends get jealous.
That night, I cleaned her for the first time, and started planning conversion parts. Two weeks later, I had a fully functional AK! I couldn't believe the phenomenal difference in balance and shooting the conversion made.
I find myself shooting at least twice a week now, and she eats every ammo I throw into her.
One of our friends ordered his 7.62, and is also expecting it tomorrow... I'm going to help him do the conversion as soon as he gets it!
The best thing about this forum is: The members are always willing to help out with any issue, and I am glad to be able to help my friend with his!
I can't wait to pay my bills this month, and become a contributor to this awesome forum!
Enjoy your Saiga!
ADD: Don't forget to "annhialate" the packing material! (hehe- Saiga joke, you'll get it tomorrow)

You'll get a thumbs up for this from Shannon.

Happy Birthday all. Have a great day!

Hey... do I have one???
I can't see my own...
LOL!! Prolly a good thing if the mods don't have them.... Nobody likes the traffic cop! LOL!!!
Nope. No + or - with mods and Makc.
I must say at first I really didn't like the new setup but I think that is more because I didn't see it coming. I changed the skin and now have the 'top' button back. I like part of the new PM setup. I got a PM from a member this morning with a follow up from him and a response from Cobra and it shows up as just 1 PM. Much nicer. Still don't understand why some PM's are listed where you're not allowed to respond. But at least you can read them still. I'd say overall I'd give the change a thumbs up.

I will say that I do like the email notifications better. Tells me in the subject line what the topic is.
-
Not a big fan of the change but I reckon I'll get used to it.
ETA: I don't like that the 'top' button isn't on the left of each post anymore either.

My Grandfather was in the Navy and my Dad and all three uncles were in the Army. My bro wanted in the Air Force (his biggest love in this world was flying) but his vision kept him out. When he was a teenager, he put some black powder in a bottle and lit it. Bad idea. When he ran in the basement after it happened, he had a long shard of glass sticking out of his right eye. Wasn't surprising vision kept him out.
As for me, all I ever wanted when I was young is to get married and raise a family. I got three great sons out of it.
I thank all who have served and also all who tried. You guys are da bomb!

I'd give this until the end of the month (assuming business memberships are paid from first of the month to the end of the month) since it seems maybe he's paid through September. Until then, I would just try to keep this thread near the top to keep new members from being screwed.

Happy Birthday all. Sorry you had to post this yourself. We spent quite a bit of today at the dentist office. What fun! So we were kind of distracted.

Just got off the phone with Vanessa. Drs. say Max is going to be fine. No surgery necessary. He has what is called an arachnoid cyst. It's something he may very well live with his whole life and not have it affect him in any way. We just need to be careful to any kind of blow to the head. He'll need to be monitored closely if that happens.
I just wanted to thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. I have no doubt in my mind that they helped.
-
Guess this is a bump. Max's appointment is tomorrow afternoon so if any of you wanted to start praying, now would be a good time. The more I've thought about it, the more I think we won't really see anything with any clarity tomorrow but more likely have some ideas about what's going on. I appreciate all thoughts and prayers.

Wow, when it rains, it pours. Been a whole lot of BD's in the past week. Have a great one!

Wanted to thank you guys again. I knew this forum was the right place to go. With everything you've given me, I feel pretty confident that this is going to work out OK. I know and am prepared if not, but I see no reason, at this point in time, to think it will be anything but. This forum is AWESOME!!!!!!

I guess people don't want them in their 'neighborhood'. I myself don't care one hoot. I lived within five miles of Shearon Harris and my folks still do. I'd say the environmentalists are the ones that are keeping anymore from being built.
-
Well, I just found out they found some cysts on Max's brain. I know nothing other than that. I have no idea in the world what that means but he has an appointment on Wednesday so we hopefully will know more then. <praying like crazy>
Cancer?

Thanks. This has been a very difficult day. Shannon and I will fight this beast hard. Cancer didn't have any idea who it was messing with when it picked Shannon. I'm convinced that together, we can do anything including kicking the ass of this invader to his body. There's no way I'm letting him go through ANY of this alone. I guess, again, I have to be stronger than I've ever been. Because I have to. Failure here is NOT an option. I've also stressed to him the importance of a positive attitude. It could be the difference between beating this and...well...there just is no other option.
