  1. We are currently building mags and getting them ready to ship. As I sit here typing this we have 5 people building them after I stuffed pizza down their throats.

I have your order sitting here packed up Howard, but between this project and the busiest Holiday season we have seen around these parts in years, we are a bit behind on shipping. We still plan to have them all out by Christmas (thats ALL orders as of today). We miss a few phone calls because we are on the other line or we are jammed up, but we have two here during the day and 4 at night and we are still hammered.

You can vent some more if you want, but we have yours Mac's and Shadow Angles ready to go. As well as many others.

  2. Everyone who pre-ordered had their cards charged. And we have repeatedly offered to give immediately give refunds to those that want them. We are still building them and shipping them. We have tried very hard to get them out in the order we reveived them. You will all have them shipped by Christmas. If that wait is too long, please let us know.

  3. I guess no news is good news. But you know gun owners, if there was an issue we would be bitching up a storm about it. Only one person has contacted me with an issue and it looks like he got early gen 1 proto types by mistake which we are replacing right away. Other than that, no complaints directed our way.

  4. I have 1700 mags here in front of me that we are trying to put together to get out to everyone. That is the balance of the outstanding orders from the pre-order and the online orders from the last few months. We are working on it so you guys can get them ASAP.

  5. Guys, please be patient. They are shipping. The more time we spend digging theu the orders to see where you are the less time we have to build mags which is what we are doing. The ENTIRE back order list filled in 2- 2 1/2 weeks. That is EVERY order up to today. They are coming and you will have them in time for Christmas.

  6. If they get the bodies here on time the balance of mags will be out, thats all orders out by the middle of Dec. We will have US made followers, base plates, springs and bodies available for sale the end of January.

And another big suprise is coming about then...... Those at the SHOT Show will see the big suprise there at the RAAC booth.

  7. We are in ongoing production. We may have a small delay between the next run and the one after (You guys wanted a bunny on the mag right? ;^) but other than that we will keep making them. Once we get the existing orders filled we will have them instock for immediate delivery.

  8. If you emailed or called in an order we simply took the date and time we ran the order thru the CC machine and retail terminal and slid you into the stack at the proper point. We took great pains to makes sure that all the orders are processed and filled in the order they were placed.

  9. Well, this is going to cause somewhat of an uproar, but the list on the pre-order page is not in the order that we received them. Larry just went thru the pile and put them on there. If you want to know where you are in the list, go to your order. There is a 3 digit order number and that is what determines where you are. But then again, there are also numbers that are for things other than the mag. But you will get a picture of where you are.

But not to worry all! We have enough coming to get all of the pre-orders and the folks that have ordered recently shipped. The big delay is in putting them together. Everyone who has ordered them as of this date should have them very soon. There will be a slight delay in the next batch because we have several large distributor orders to fill next, but they got told the same thing. You get yours in the order your order was received. A 500-1000 mag order does not get them bumped in front of the guys who had faith in us.

  10. They have been tested a bit in the field but regretably we do not have the time to go crawl thru the mud and find out how they do. They are built to Russian specs with better materials. But if you have concerns about them being USGI spec, I can not give you that certification. Sorry.

  11. We are going to let the masses decide how we ship them and when. We got the bases today and are begining assembly. With just a few of us doing it between customers it is going to take a while.

So, since we know most of you will pull them apart to look at them anyway, we want to know if you want them shipped as is or assembled.

  12. No, we do not anticipate a gun ban of any kind until they get someone in the White House. A gun ban now would be the quickest way to ensure they lost the election. Especially considering what they tried to float last term. With them holding the majority now they would probably not be able to control their impulses and would go all out. And you can count on an outright ban with no grand-fathering or transfer. So why make more product we would have to destroy?

So no, we are not changing the way we do things.

  13. Gotta be patient to get a good product - FBMG said they would refund to anyone who wanted one - you can always bail out as if mags work they can sell to someone else.

I didnt ask for your opinion, maybe I missed it , but did FBMG appoint you their spokesman???

Wether you ask or not, he is dead on the money. We are waiting on two items to complete the mags. When they get here we will begin filling orders as they were received.

  14. CAD Drawing? That's not the hard part....don't waste your time and ours with that:)

The issue is the milling of a pair of male and female molds. Even with CAD drawings, it's extremely expensive. You'd be better off getting the code for the CNC to mill them out stateside, and even that's not as good as getting a tested dupe set of molds direct from Russia. The metal is the pricey part...Cad/gCode/whatever isn't as tough. Once you have the metal in hand it's child's play for just about any injection house.

If you're really interested, it might be worth calling CavArms and asking them....they'll likley echo my statements though.

    take care,

    Tec

Yeah, we went thuru this already and it all began with a simple CAD drawing. I think we have the rest of it figured out now so we wont make the same mistakes again. And the Cav Arms quote in their thread came in a bit higher than what we got here locally from the same guys doing our 308 mags.

    Thanks for the advice.
