[conversion time]

I was wondering if anybody on here offered conversion services. I've gotten some prices so far and everybody seems kind of high. I don't need a hole cut for the pistol grip, refinishing, holes welded, or my magazine catch modified. I just want to move the trigger to the correct location, get a new fcg installed that will work with my bolt hold open, and have a feed ramp installed. If anybody is interested in making a couple of bucks, let me know.

I also shot my Saiga for the first time. I took it to the range on friday and with open sights was hitting the black of my target. I only put about 20 rounds through it on friday but ended up going back on saturday and shot another 60. This thing is awesome right out of the box.

[last round hold open?]

I don't really need it to stay open in order for me to know it's out of ammo. This may be my first Saiga, but by no means is my first gun. You should always keep a count of what you've fired, and what's left in the magazine, as well as visually checking that the magazine is in fact empty. I just found it kind of strange that the gun doesn't have a last round hold open.

I just bought a new Saiga a week ago and shot it for the first time tonight. The gun performed flawlessly and was very consistent after only a few shots to get used to it. I did notice one thing though, the bolt didn't stay open after firing the last round. I shot three 10 round factory magazines and none of them stayed open. Is this normal, or is this gun supposed to have a last round hold open?
