  1. First off I didn't even know there was a 12 round mag out. I must be slipping.

But why the heck aren't 12 round mags they 922r compliant? (I'm guessing a spring or something isn't US made?)

Why didn't they make them like the 10 round mags? Are the 10 round mags compliant still?

  2. Congrats on getting your saiga 12, especially before Obama put any gun bans into effect. (IMO)

Now you will want to get a polly choke, a folding stock, a 10 round mag, a forward vertical grip, a MD 20 round drum.

It's such a slippery slope enjoy

  3. I saw above you said you ordered some 10 round mags. Not sure how new your gun is but when I got my first 10 round mag I had some feed problems and thought it was the shotgun. It is more the new mag then it is that shotgun. You might want to spray some gun oil in the mag helped me out a bunch. Enjoy your new 10 round mags everyone at the range will be eyeing your new toy. :smoke:

They are also great for bump firing!

  4. How is it redundant if it isn't posted anywhere?

Also his site says 2nd run shipped so I wouldn't call that still in the making.

1 Run Shipped. 2 Run Is Still In The Making. 3 Run Will Never Come To Fruition If Redundant Questions Keep Being Asked That Waste Mike's Time?!
  5. It looks like on MD's website the 2nd run has shipped. Well I finally have the cash for a drum. Can I get in on the order or when will run 3 ship? I looks like drums from run 2 are left over. I want one!

Also I'm worried there won't be a 3rd run if obama bans hi cap mags!!!!

  6. Should I take the buck shot out? It's my home deffense gun and I always keep it ready.

WEEE! I got it. So how how do I set it? LOL

Says turn 1 full turn out? So counter clockwise after it is set to x-full?

Thank you for the link ajackb seems like everything I need there. Why don't they include that in the packaging? Thanks again everyone seems like I got this solved. Time to scare people at the range tomorrow! :-)

  7. Worst comes to worse you can always:

    1. Buy a recoil shoulder pad that goes under your shirt.

    2. Buy a better recoil pad. I say better since mine came with a slab of plastic.

    3. Buy a choke or muzzle break. (Not sure if its possible to have a choke & muzzle break... would be cool.)

    4. Buy a mercury recoil tube.

    5. Wear a scuba belt

    6. Make cement shoes

    Hope this helps.

  8. Just wondering if anyone has shot these with their Saiga. I've been shooting 00# buck and slugs fine. Not sure if I still need to break mine in more but I'm only allowed to shoot at clays with 7.5 birdshot.

Let me know if anyone has had problems with these or if they work great.

    Thanks

  9. I'll take one how much for the laser? I never see anything like muzzle breaks on the saiga 12 store in stock. I wish I knew how to find them on ebay. I've wanted a laser or light on my saiga 12 since its mainly for home defense.

I was reading the whole post is the batteries rechargable?

  10. I've ask this question before but never really got the answer I wanted. I'd like to use midwayusa.com since I have some money to spend there :-) http://www.midwayusa.com/

Can someone hopefully more then one tell me what chokes will work with my Saiga 12? I'm looking for something I can use with 00# buck for a tightest group at 50yards.

(I know jack about chokes that's why I'm asking for help and perfer the opinions from more then one person. Please provide me with some links. Thanks)

Also I'm guessing I can't use a slug while a choke is on correct?

    Thanks guys :-)

  11. Ya I'm not going much for accuracy. I'll be happy to hit things at targets at 100 yards with rappid trigger pulling.

Too bad there is no legal way (that I know of) to make it into a 3 round burst. I believe that that is still a class II or class III weapon which is illegal convert right? I would love to have a full auto but would settle for 3 round burst if that was legal... Anyone know?

Also is there a way to put wood grips on?

  12. I just barely stopped myself from ordering a third one. I don't really need a third one, do I? :cryss:

I bet people just like us were thinking the same thing about full auto weapons. Then now that they are Class III they are worth more then double.

Who knows if they ban these and we are pre-ban legal to transfer to others. I would think that would bring the price to double ($800ish)? How many other automatic shotguns are there? Not to mention AK variants that are easy to keep...

I know if I run into any that are around $400 I'll buy them.

  13. bigjimcalhoun,

I got my saiga 12 about 3 months ago for $450 including shipping. At the time it was the cheapest I was finding on the internet that was new. I would say $459 is a great price and don't think you will find one for less. I've seen people buying them on gunbroker for $750+.....

Maybe I'll slap a Picatinny Rail Mount on mine and call it a Tromix conversion and sell it for $1000. :haha: jk

  14. efarmer21

I use Wolf 00 power buckshot. Is that what you are using?

For me it jams sometimes specially with the 10 round clip (but that's probably the clip). I'm not sure I'm done the break in yet.

  15. Awesome aubie thanks for the tips. Perhaps a link to the little kit you used :-)?

Good thing I asked even though mine says air dry I was going to clean the surface and rub on with a rag and let airdry. I think I'll return mine now and get the one you used.

So you need to sandblast the parts to remove all the old paint? I was hopping that I could just apply over it.

I just want to make sure do this right and end up with something better then when I started and not the only way around.

    Thanks

  16. Hey aubie515 why KG's 2400?

What would be the diffence from the KG Stock Kote 1200? Other then 2400 is Series Bake On. Does that mean I put it on the saiga then in the oven to cure? (Seriously I don't know what the difference is.)

Also how do I apply this just with a sponge or rag? Paint brush?
