  1. I was changing oil on my truck not too long ago and managed to dip the leg of my brand new Wranglers in the pan of used oil. I didn't figure there was any way to get that out since it was soaked all the way through, so I pulled them off and put them straight in the burn barrel.

Dawn dishwashing soap will take it out.

    scissors work best.

  2. breaking down 4 saigas for conversion, I pulled the gas tubes off of two new .223s, one old .223, and one very old 7.62x39 saiga...(bought when they were 239$).

what's come up missing apparently after bead blasting is one of the gas tubes is missing that washer type spring that fits on the gastube?

question is...maybe it didn't come on one of the older versions? does anyone think this could be the case?

    thanks..

    B

  3. NO NO, thanks to you. For I have now completed my Saiga calibers collection.

just wait'n on the 7.62x54R to come out now.

I love this gun, but have to unload some of my arsenal. Asking $950, + actual shipping, (will sell/ship to FFL only and in CONUS only) you get everything in the picture except the camo fabric. I've shot about 300 rounds through this gun and had no problems. Cash, certified check, or discrete paypal if you split the fees with me. Email me at chrisg@bkbh.com

    This gun has the following:

    Duracoat finish - flat black

Red Star Arms fully adjustable trigger group

    Tapco SAW pistol grip

Professionally cut, crowned, and threaded barrel (barrel approx. 18" from end of receiver to beginning of brake. Brake adds another 3")

    Primary Weapons Systems brake

ACE front sight mounted to the gas block

    Tapco US length AK stock

Professionally fitted and installed Limbsaver recoil pad

Russian POSP scope with illuminated rangefinding reticle (fits on the scope mount, but slides back if you pull hard in it. Didn't seem to move under recoil. I didn't try to tighten it, you may be able to fix it. Also, the illumination works just so-so. Glass and reticle is good. Sold as is. This is a good deal without the scope)

Separate scope mount for adding your own optics. This is a good one. Very stable and adds a side rail for lasers and/or lights.

Handguard was modified by me - and looks just ok. But I'm also throwing in the original wood one. See pics.

Dustcover is threaded and tapped for a Williams sight

    2 factory 8 round mags

    Also included:

Original factory manuals, cleaning kit, sling, etc.

    Original wood stock set

    Original AK front sight

Will post here for several days and if no interest, will post on gunbroker. I'll update this post when I do that.

  5. What are your thoughts, Mike? Had a chance to look into this at all yet? Thanks!

can Mike just make the cartridge an 8 gauge necked down to 12 gauge to fit the bore? so we'll get more girth?? and it'll still fit in the second run drums? I think that'd be great.

and when is he coming round to Flagstaff so he can hold my baby boy at the ticker tape parade?

    thanks Mike!!

  7. Hi guys.

I'm really looking forward to getting my drum soon. I'm going to do a full dump using my rapid firing technique. Bobotech, if you can't bumpfire the MD20 for some reason, consider trying my technique. It doesn't utilize the weapon's recoil and can be done shouldered.

Congrats on making such a cool item Mike! I'll probably need to take out a loan for all the ammo I'm going to go through. LOL

    Corbin

I use this technique too...I call it Rattle Snake Finger!!!! works real well with my aes10-b and 100 round drum...no muzzle climb.

  8. Mike, keep doing what you are doing. I've let you know before that you are someone that people should inspire to be like. Keep the faith, and do what you can, but not to where you'll overdo yourself.

My God! I sound like an obituary. ;)

no, more like a drunk dude...I can't not hardly understand whut you've just been saying back there.....but I get the point.. :)

Merry Christamas everyone and happy holidays.

  9. the russians are prepping for invasion now..prior to the release of the new red dawn remake...which will teach us how to repell the new invasion while simultaneously combating domestic gubmint coruption.

they can't import S17's into the states, the new law will be inplace soon....No guns imported unless they have the orange tipped muzzles.

  10. I haven't found any pics of this configuration yet have you seen any? think it would look good? goes well with the md-20 drum?

I'm talking about the wooden Romy? forgrip with the vertical pistol grip made from one piece of wood....

any ideas would be greatly appreciated...thanks..B

  11. anyone shoot the drum with a foregrip? how is the "fit&feel"?? does your foregrip arm interfere any with the drum?

I've been browsing the s12 pics and I have not seen any Saigas modded with an original vertical wooden foregrip??

I'm thinking about modding mine with it.... anyone seen one already built?

    thanks..B

  12. **** update 11/9/08****

A day after I posted here, my email was answered, so apparently it's a good idea to take things to the boards when you're having trouble getting a hold of him. A little frustrating, but I eventually got him to reply and he offered a solution that was quite satisfactory. If things go per this new plan, I will become a happy customer when the second round of drums ship.

Apparently, if you excercized a little patience and self-restraint by not being such a needy turd, you would have found that your perceived problem would have eventually been resolved without having to come here and whine about it in public. Thanks for helping to delay my (and others') drums being delivered by a few more days with your bullshit. :chris:

I ordered mine yesterday... and I haven't heard anything either. Just a slew of confirmation and order status emails....where's my personal phone call? So I voted for choice #4. :)

  13. I have a smoke cover. Before I fired my MD-20 I may or may not have smashed it on the ground really fucking hard. Don't worry about it.

And smoke is black (opaque) from more than a few feet away.

I went with clear...even though I suspect there is a strength and resiliency difference between black and others....I think it's prolly psychowrongical.

but the clear cover will enable me to know when I'm down to the last few rounds during night ops....
