Acquired on trip to Austin (the new looking one). Next to it's restored brother. To this day I don't know if the wood was simply darker, or had been soaked in oil so long that it was impossible to remove.

Down here, I'm more likely to burn my cheek in the summer, than freeze it in the winter! I'll be sure to tell my daughter you liked her wrapping.

I've been discussing it with a friend. We are going to try and make a new sight that follows the same basic dimensions that incorporates the ring.

Nice. Was wishing that maybe tapco finally decided to produce a smooth 74 mag.
-
What mag is that?
-
I love it!

It's a simple dust cover mount and a Bushnell 3 x 9. I've had both for many years and they work really well. As long as the stabilizing screws on the back of the dust cover are snug, it holds zero. What I like about it the most is the ability to look under the scope at my irons and verify that the crosshairs are on the same target.

Looks wicked! I love the 357. To those who shoot that round, nothing else sounds like it.

Saw a ton of hog tracks while on our little hike earlier. That's the only reason I brought the MAK along. I was not expecting to have such nice photo opportunities.
-
At least it didn't run.

On top you have a 2011 Mini Ranch Rifle, on bottom left you have a Saiga 223, and bottom right a Colt 6920. All shot from the same exact distance (sitting) with almost identical results.

92 yards according the range finder.

Sonoma red with two very thin coats of polyurethane gloss on the outside sections only.

SWEET!

Oh wait, just saw the gas block. Hmm...what model is that?
-
Nice. SLR107 right?
-
Very good eye! Yes, it's a "loaded" model.

Guess I now I have to post a few more pics of my "airsoft".

Well, if by better you mean more accurate, I really have not had a chance to stretch either one of these rifles out, which is a shame considering I've had the M1 since 08, and the M1A since 09. I will say the M1A shoots much smoother than the M1, or at least the recoil feels lighter.
