    So thursday my guy at the gun store called me and let me know they had a saiga 12 "back in stock" and told me to call for the details. Of course I hurry up and call him almost peeing myself as I wake up. He said someone had put it in layaway but hasn't made a payment on it so they were going to put it back on the floor. After some car-salesman like talking I convinced him to set it aside for me promising to pick it up by the weekends end. And I went this morning to pick it up. IT'S AWESOME!!! Unfortunately I have to work today, but I should be able to give it a few bang bangs tomorrow. :devil:

     

    After playing with the action and checking out every feature I can, I came up with one question. I pulled the bolt back and eased it forward, obviously not "normal" operation, but out of curiosity I pulled the trigger and it somewhat surprised me that the hammer fell forward. Is this "normal", is there a chance of firing out of battery?

     

    The addiction has began....

    Having spent time overseas I fail to see what's wrong with hunting rabbits. Rabbits reproduce like , well rabbits. There is no shortage of rabbits. Who cares if they are aren't dangerous. Chickens aren't dangerous to humans either. Wild game is a great source of lean protein. I don't hunt myself but have no problems with those that do especially if they are kind enough to share.

    I've even had whale before when I was in Japan and that too came from a hunt (it's VERY good fyi). China has some less than humane methods but none involved hunting.

    Oh but you are sadly mistaken my friend! There is a bunny overseas who is so evil he can take out a whole army of armed soldiers in the wink of an eye! You must be very very cautious if you approach this killer bunny! Even an 8" Tromix S-12 with a wraithmaker 20 rd Drum is no match. (of course we all know why...lol)

    This may seem like a dumb question but can anyone give me opinions on choosing a 24" or a 19" s-12? I've been keeping an eye on this incredibly cool shotgun for the past couple months and decided it may be time to make my move on buying one. I like the tac. look and manuverability of the 19" but I've already got a semi- short shotgun (Winchester Defender). I also like the better patterns the extra 5" should give... so I'm torn. Would a good choke make the 19 nearly equal to the 24 or is it just a rough decision I'm going to have to make?

    I plan on using it as an occasional slug chucker for deer, birds/clays here and there... and of course when the zombies take over.

    Thanks for all future input. I've been reading the boards for about 2 hours and it already looks like a good forum.
