  1. Wow never heard of anyone owning 3+ steyr augs before. Right place at the right time I guess.

I thought all the Steyr Augs came into the country as LE guns and were later resold onto the private market. Were you one of the LE buyers or did you manage to hustle 3 augs on the secondary market?

  2. Yeah, I only sent him one email and havent been harassing.

I'm used to slow service from the russians. I ordered some stuff last november I think from russiancombatgear.com and it is still in the russian postal system as of last week.

  3. I learned something from a long career as a trim carpenter and cabinetmaker. It usually takes more time in the long run to do a hack job on something as it does to do it correctly.

Programming is the same, except they will come back to you 3 million times asking you to change how it works. It would be like a customer that would change his mind 30 times about what caliber, type of action, design of stock or metal finish, only multiplied many times over. You eventually get very good at designing software that is the equivalent of the M16 upper/lower system. It goes apart and comes together like legos.

  4. I have been looking for something like that for a while. That is the only thing really missing from the saiga IMO, besides the 10 round mags.

I just emailed him. Thanks man. An integrated laser on the saiga will rock.

The guy who is custom building my sight said the people there only make about 30 dollars a month (something like that).

Hey cobra, what is the deal with your custom sight? Is he taking orders from the general public or did you have some special exclusive hookup?

  5. Oh crap yeah they are sneaky. Unless you really search, you cannot find that they are anti-gun. A lot of unwitting hunters could be deceived by a hard-sell phone call. That's scary.

Their "keep a gun in the home for self defense" is basically a clever way of sneaking in the discredited Kellerman study misquote they are so fond of (43 times more likely). Actually, just site search google for the phrase "43 times more likely" and you will know if they are pro gun or anti gun.

  6. Well it really boils down to what this extra durability and quality adds to the unit cost and ultimately to our cost. I can tell you that anything over 50 dollars is not going to sell like hotcakes, especially if that guy with the steel mags starts shipping soon at anything approaching a reasonable price.
