I love my cobra choke
It makes all the difference when shooting clays, and I get my shot much further out there.
With out the choke you gotta be fast, it gets out of range of the 19in barrel real quick.

Buy some federal bulk and maybe some quality ammo along with that, and shoot it.
If you can run the fed bulk you are gtg,
but don't bother with the winchester universal, that stuff distorts and jams really easy...

I found a picture of a Saiga 12 with a Tapco Galil style forearm on it on the internet (Google Saiga 12 tapco and click on "images").
DO NOT OPEN THE IMAGE - IT HAS A VIRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . but look at the image. Cool.
Problem is Tapco is unsure how a Galil style forearm was put on the Saiga 12, even after I had the Tapco guy look at the picture. Question - does anyone know or can you direct me to a threadwhich discusses how a Galil style forearm for the Saiga 12???
THanks.
lol
I'm clickin on every picture that comes up hoping for something funny...
so far just pictures

I love it
It almost looked like a joke/hack but it has a serious note with a fun overtone.
Very well done IMO.
And my S12 is in my zombie pack.

and I need your avatar picture as a bumper sticker...

credit card; get one.

That would piss me off
It looks like you have the V plug or was that with the factory plug?
-
I would let it go NFA, and if I had to pay out of pocket for the $200 I would...
And I would also go SBS...
If free I would throw in $200 for a silencer for one of my guns at the same time.

I wanted one for my 4x4 kit, stick it in there with my jack and med supplies...
I went down to buy one and holding the top heavy thing I could not bring my self to buy one...
If your looking for a cheap gun look around
I ended up buying a used Keltec P11 for $200 otd for truck use...
I also picked up a $300 Glock 22 police trade-in, it serves as my beater/camping/boat gun.
If you want cheap, keep looking, deals are out there for very good deals.

I have not really had an issue with it, I just use a small screw driver and lift the spring up and over once everything is together.
Now if you get the spring in backwards it's a pain in the ass

lol at the vid, I watched the whole thing
And don't take shit guys say serious, main thing is to look at what others have done and decide what you want.
I think the zombie thing is funny, I use it often.
It's a way for me to say I know I don't need this but I want.
Feel free to copy my setup, it rocks.

I have been holding off buying any more stick mags since I heard about these.... it's been a while now.
Ordered another drum the other day tho.

I put one on my S12, makes it so you can use standard winchokes

I do a detail clean every now and then, scrub everything, get as much carbon build up out as I can.
I even take a dremel plastic wire wheel to clean inside of the gas system, threads, and puck if there is crud I can't get out.
to aid in cleaning I also lightly smoothed out my gas puck and polished slightly, it has helped.
And I use this stuff in the gas system, bolt, and pretty much any friction area...
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=20900/Product/C5_A_ANTI_SEIZE_LUBRICANT
Works great, stays slick even when dirty, and I have had good results shooting sub -0F and +100F, does not bleed off at all.
I started using it on the slides of my carry guns to prevent lint buildup to start, then started playing with the stuff in my rifles.
It works great in the gas system, I coat the threads of my gas plug, I have never had to use a tool ever since using this stuff, before after 500rds the threads would fill full of crud and require a tool to remove it.
And my last detail cleaning I applied the coper anti seize very lightly to my gas puck, and inside of the gas tube where it rides, the buildup is still there but seems like less, and it seems to flake out more...
My main hope was to make it easier to clean the puck, but I have not tested to see if it helped yet.
Right now the most cleaning I do to my S12 is a wipe down of the bolt & carrier, and I might run a brush through the barrel, unless I see lots of buildup or I'm about to do 3gun.

Winchester bulk from walmart; forget about that trash.
Work on getting the fed bulk to run well and you will be gtg
I had many issues with the winchester bulk, the charges are way to low, and the hulls are way to thin and soft for an S12.

I can rock and lock with it like this
It is tight, but I use the grip as a guide, and then I just press up forward to lock the front lug in and then rock back to click in.

I bought mine before the election, and before the big rush.
Got it at a gun show from a gun store just over the border in Nevada, they are right next to a big shotgun range run by a casino, so they have lots of shotguns.
At that time these were very hard to find, they had one left, and the only one at the gunshow.
Paid I think about $480 something... I think..
I just remember that it was a good price for the time.

I bought some rounds that had a reinforced end thinking I would be GTG for closed bolt storage
I checked it after two weeks and it still fed that first round, two months, FTF.
Only part I don't like about open bolt storage, if it falls over, it will chamber the round about 50% of the time.
Storage with the safety half way up to clear the bolt still blocks the trigger though.

I have a bushnell trophy red dot, I bought it on sale years ago at midwayusa for $90, its a solid nice sight.
It lives on my AR15, but I have had it on my S12 and I loved it there.

I love the AGP mags, I contacted them about a follower issue (this was back when their mags were $50+ each) and they gave me a link to buy a new follower.
Not the best CS but hey they responded to my email!
I have about 10 AGP mags currently, all bought at full price I would buy more as my gun likes them.
I refuse to buy any more mags until MD has his available, I have been on a buying freeze for a while now, patiently waiting.

I go To California periodically and this is why I'm afraid to take anything but a wheel gun. If this guy doesn't know what HE can carry, well....
I head into that state often, usually I only bring my S&W 60 or a 1911 due to the weird confusing laws...
Most of my pistols hold to much ammo or are not on the allowed list, but I know my 1911 is gtg, so it usually goes with me, and it's faster for me to load than the revolver since I can't have a loaded gun or even ammo with gun in my car in that retarded state, the 1911 is simple for me.
I know "a guy" who keeps one round in the cab with the gun anyway, thinking that if the worst happens then that one round could save his life, and if the second worst thing happens then that one round is no bigger than a suppository.
took me a minute at this early hour to figure out that "suppository" comment

Competition loading on a closed bolt questions?

The big issue I had were with the fed bulk ammo I run for most of the 3 gun stages, if I load from a closed bolt often enough I would deform the round enough to cause it to not feed the top round.
I found it eaiser to yank the bolt back with my left hand, right hand push bolt lock up, drop the mag, reload, and finally twist the gun so I can chamber with my left hand.
I got pretty quick at it.
Mostly I will only run the drum for the first part of a stage, any reloads are done with stick mags.
