  1. I have enough 922r parts right now, but I would be open to a puck that would help with function.

I have not had any issues with the russian puck, and I have run about 800-1,000 rounds though my shotgun with no cleaning (mostly walmart fed bulk).

I did not have any issues but the puck would not move freely, and I had to hammer it out with a long copper rod

The E-tac one looks interesting, I have been thinking about trying out the three pack... right now I'm just waiting for a good deal on it.

  2. I need to get something once I get my rail, I picked up a barska red dot on ebay with my AR pistol in mind, but the pos is loose right where the laser is.. I can rattle it around... I'm hoping it will be good enough for a shotgun, but it's going to suck with slugs...

I love the open design though, later on I think I will buy the one R&R lists above. :super:

And these shotguns rock in 3gun, the conversation with people about it is fun all by it self. :smoke:

  3. That's what I was hoping, I want it to sit as close to the gas tube as I can get away with.

I would really like to beable to use my barrel mounted front sight, I have plans for a low profile rear sight to match... I hope it works. :chris:

Also I made my order last week, what is the expected ship date?

Thanks, I can't wait for the rail. :super:

  4. Turn down your gas, and also make sure you get the plug screwed in all the way if your using the gunfixer plug from MD arms.

Start with the lowest setting and work your way up till the gun runs good.

With the winchester super x standard slugs I like to run my Gas with the 1 setting, if it still hurts, try the -1 to see if it still runs good.

My threads were also dirty, I thought it went all the way in, but a little clp on the threads and I got it in an extra full turn, it made a big difference on the gas settings!

  5. But I would think that when you buy them brand new and they have heavy pitting on the springs they'd do a swap for free. I guess I'm wrong.

It was like pulling hen's teeth to get Kevin to exchange my rusty springs. Several days of emailing back and forth. I can not for the life of me understand why someone would think it's okay to sell things as new when they're covered in rust. It may be "new" because it has never been used, but if it's covered in rust it's obviously in poor condition. I have surplus AK mags that only God knows how old they are, and none of them have rust . . .

I have an old AK mag that I tripped over in the middle of the southern utah desert right after a huge rain storm/flood that the water washed away the dirt... I picked that sucker out of the ground and threw it in the back of my truck, took it home to remove all of the dirt clods and scraped away the rust from the body of the mag, took it out and it ran perfect! :super:

Springs were a lil rusty but not bad.

  6. I may be intrested also, I like the slick take down.

I also want to put a red dot on my shotgun down the road, I have one of those weld on H&K sight base and the drum sight but I can't decide if I want to use it on my CETME build or my shotgun... :P

  7. We useto have a 3gun match once every month, but lately due to ammo prices and availability they knocked it back to about once every three months.

But the Jan 1 matches are pretty popular, we had a huge turn out, and a raffle for some fun stuff like a .22lr sound suppressor, some guns, lights, holsters... and larue donated a bunch of mounts, and anyone who bought atleast one raffle ticket @ $5 gets a beverage entry tool. :D

    It works pretty good. :super:

And the proceeds were donated to the victims families of the terror attack at that military base. :super:

  8. Good idea, I'll have to raid my wifes purse for her camera next time around. :super:

I also gave lots of plugs for the forum for info on the conversion and parts from the vendors, I think there will be a few that were on the wall about the S12 are now going to get their hands on one after seeing mine run. :smoke:

  9. Well yesterday was my first time running my S12 in 3gun. :super:

It went very well, for the first time I was actually looking forward to the shotgun stages.

Sense I was in the open class I went ahead and ran my MD20

You see a few of stock S12s once in a while and usually they run like crap, another guy in a different group had a stock one and he was running the surefire mags, he said his ran good with the highbrass loads, but he noted how I was running low brass in mine, I gave him some tips and showed him how I had to fit my drum and suggested the gunfixer gas plug when he makes the order for his MD20.

The first shotgun/pistol stage I came up with my drum in hand and a rifle bag, one of the guys thought I may of had an AA12.

The guys running the FN, and Benelli shotguns at first kinda smirked at my S12, and later said they had seen a few S12s in matches that were single shots, but noted how well mine ran, even with the drum. :smoke:

It was a good match, and my shotgun rocked, I will be staying in the open class, running the shotgun is worth it. :super:

I used a single clear AGP incase I needed to reload (I had to reload in two stages), and I noticed that I never once looked at the side of the mag, or the back of my smoke clear drum to see where I was at, but it was kinda hard to look through the smoke cover with my sunglasses on later on, and it will be even harder while on the move, I may look into a clear cover later on.
